If one of my branches is split from the main root but hanging on a little should i tie it together or just rip the branch off?

is it a brunch or just a fan leaf? if it's a branch, get some rooting hormone and make it a clone

Tie something around it and the plant should heal up nicely and be a big nice branch! Don't rip it off try and let it heal and repair itself. Let me know how it goes.

i use celephane for something like that wrap it up like a bandage the plants heal themselves if its enough contact left will make a big knot there
