Broken barely hanging stalk

I'm trying to create a T shape and make them horizontal but they were surprisingly hard even though I did it very early. One stalk is badly snapped, it's just hanging, I didn't tape it because that's the position I need it to be in anyway.

Does it look like it can regenerate? Or did I mess this up

Might wanna tape that up if you want that branch to be alive when you wake up tomorrow
 
Not even tomorrow I think it's already gone. It turned floppy and lifeless

Way to F it up, I've seen people doing it to way older plants and works perfectly mines just broke and dead in 1 or 2 hours
