If you can afford to keep the plant, it might be wise to do so bro.
I had one that I went digging in the soil for, seed had sprouted out of its shell, but not popped the soil surface yet. In my digging, I had separated the cotyledon from the tap root and seed shell. Immediately, I amended the entire area in the center of the red cup with mykos powder, and got the seed shell, still with root in tact developing, to be stable and upright enough to where I could sit the separated cotyledon on top and cover with more mykos, and then a layer of soil to lock it all in and establish support. It took over three weeks, but the plant re-rooted, and produced the best herb of that medical run.
So, if you can afford to keep the plant, I would encourage you to do so, and just be really kind to it and careful. When I had my thing happen, I gave very little water initially, and continued to water sparingly, after a few weeks the plant had grown just the smallest amount up from the surface of the soil, so I gave it about 4x the amount of water I had been at previous waterings, within three days the plant doubled in size, took off and did not stop from there.
Hope this helps a little. good work to do what you can to help the plant live on, cause it does want to live on thats for sure.
