Broke friend's pipe!! oh no!!!!

Alright, so I'm sitting here after a long night of toking the finest weed I've ever toked. Awesome weed, awesome sherlock pipe, awesome sights. Anyway, I finally made it home and put the pipe on the seat of the car, and before I know it, I sat and *POP*. Broke this guys nice sherlock.

I'm just wondering as far as replacing it, should I tell him first and ask him what he wants to replace it? Or should I try to find one that looks similar and is of equal or higher value and just give it to him?

just get him another nice piece. maybe send him a pic with your phone saying im about to get your new pipe

That's what I was thinking. The girl I was with was saying shit like, "he's gonna be mad, just get him a new one that looks the same." Fuck that, if someone broke my pipe I would really appreciate it if they took me shopping for a new one. Sounds good.

See, we're "friends". I don't know him that well, but I know him well enough that he trusted me with his pipe and weed. I just feel bad about it, but I feel good about having the chance to do the right thing.

all 6 of them mean a little to me, but my first pipe always seems better than the others

Option number 3... give him a hundred dollars to get whatever he wants. Just throwing that out there, maybe he wants money, not a pipe?

Not a close friend, but after smoking his weed, I want to be better friends with him. I'm considering just handing him 100 bucks seeing as how his pipe was maybe worth 50 tops. I like helping other people out when I'm in the situation to do so.

a similiar situation happened to me my friend had his bong over and my dog had knocked it off the table and it shattered , i asked him what we should do about it and he said he didnt know , so i busted out an ounce and said lets smoke until we can figure it out by the time he went home he wasent too bummed about it i also gave him a nice glass hand pipe to get him threw the hard times.

Just replace it with one as nice as you broke,don't be cheap you wouldn't want a cheap replacement if your stuff got broke.Hell tell him you broke it before you replace it he might not even give a fuck.

i had an $85 bubbler in my cousins backpack when we were at the beach(we all had all our stuff in one bag). my brother and his friend kept arguing on who was carrying the bag so they started throwing it and dropped it on concrete. it shattered my pipe(r.i.p. flounder) and cracked my $400 blackberry. i made them give me the $85 and then waited until i replaced my phone and made them pay for half of the deductible from the insurance(it ended up being $110 total). i took the $85 and went and bought a cheap pipe and a bong. i was getting tired of the bubbler anyway and wanted a dry piece. if i were you id ask him how much it was and offer to give him cash or take him shopping. see what he wants to do about it. (i would also take the $100 if i were him but i think thats overkill.)

One friend of mine had a very nice, $145 sherlock with a piece of Black Opal on the back of it. He got it from 42 degrees (it was a designer piece he got on his birthday for half off) in Atlanta, which is an ALL glass shop with designer pieces. It was an AMAZING sherlock. He had placed it on his lap to pack a nice bowl with hash on top in his car after we were working one night and he forgot it was there and opened the door and stood up. It hit the ground and snapped in two right at the neck (thinnest part of it). It was tragic.

I also wanted to say that you sat on it and it broke? That's a cheap pipe dude... lmfao. Sounds to me like a single blown piece. But you should take him to a head shop and let him pick a piece out around the same price, maybe a little bit more for the inconvenience.

OH! Another story!
I bought my friend a nice $65 Chameleon pipe from a local head shop. He took it to college with him and one time he was clearing the bowl in the bathroom by turning it over and tapping on the back of the bowl to get the ashes out. And he hit it to hard and it fell into the toilet and broke the bottom of the bowl out... hahaha

I remember breaking my friends 3 foot bong. He was so pissed, but I bought him some weed and a few.. *cough oxys cough* and he was all good.

But aww.. That's a Bummer. Just take him shopping. Stop by a smoke shop and get him something good. BETTER than what you broke. He'll be so happy. You guys will smoke right afterwords.
