get an envirolight. They go upto 300w and are simply just a larger version of your household CFL. You'll find them in most hydro shops, but they can be had really really cheap online, i'd suggest that, a lot of online sites often do a good bulb, fittings and reflector deal

ye i know about them but they arent an option in my space id rather have 6 smaller cfl spread nicely than one large envirolite.

What kind of space do you have to play with? 6 20w CFL's and socket's is going to be larger than a single 125w enviro and a socket and most likely a lot more expensive

Why not ask at the shop? I'm sure they'd have a better idea than me, i just use the larger ones because they work just great in my little clone tent.

cos that means leaving the house and defrosting my car i thought id try and get an answer from someone before heading out to at least give me a good idea of a place to go.
i hear good things about envirolites but they are just not for me right now.

Telephone? Most shops have telephones, you seem to be makin this harder than it is. Unfortunately in the UK as you are most likely aware, there are not really any great shops for this stuff, they all tend to sell the same stuff and for some reason all seem to be silly expensive for everything :( don't get me started on bnq for supplies.

How could we suggest a shop if we don't know where you live? Maybe you should try the hardware store down the road from me, they stock all kinds of bulbs..

Google your town, and electricians, and chances are you will be given a list of electrical shops in your neighbourhood. Without knowing your town etc, bnq would be all i could suggest in terms of anationwide shop that you could get stuff.

As to the lamp splitters, so far as i am aware, they are illegal in the EU due to legislature. Think it was somehting about fire dangers.
