ok im new to breeding but i am highly interested by it please give me opinions or questions about what i have though of, assume when ever i make a pollination, i chose the best plant.

A and B ---- AB with A = AB with B ----- ABA with ABB --- aba with a = abb with b and the stabilize abaa and abbb

do i have the concepts of breeding right?

---- means a harvest and = means grown at same time

i find your post confusing, so I can't really comment.

IF you want to stabilize, breed A + B to get a seed crop of F1s. Select your preferred female and male from this seed crop. You can then breed them to get an F2 of A x B, or breed the male with A or B to build some of the original mother's character back in.

To continue stabilizing, breed your male + female F2s to get F3s, etc., mixing in backcrosses where you'd like to add more character from one parent.

alright, ill have to make it better in paint or something, thanks for the advice on stabilizing and another question is somewhat related, what happens when you pollinate a female with male Hermie pollen?, isnt that a way you make feminized seeds?

yes, but a stupid way unless you like hermies.

So if I'm reading right you've crossed a&b and then grown ab with a and crossed them? And you've grown ab with b and crossed them? You then havested and grew aba seeds and abb seeds and crossed them aba with a and abb with b? Then you crossed abaa and the abbb to stabalize?
Very interesting!
Have you done this allready? Or are you getting ready to try this yourself?
Cool stuff, I'll have to cheack back on this and see how it turns out.
:peace:peace man:peace:

- I feel the need to say that there is no point in making any real plan ahead of time, because there is really no way to predict this stuff accurately or even at all. Ceestyle gave the soundest advice I've seen yet. Find the ones you like and breed them together. thats your P generation. Take clones of all the ones that look promising and harvest the ones you took the clones off of. Since you need a strain for pain relief you won't know which one's to breed with untill after you've smoked some. With males it's harder because they don't make as much THC as females, but some males will have more than others. This probably means he has latent genes for high potency which will manifest in female offspring.

- If you can find a particular phenotype of a variety that you really like, you can in-breed the F1 generation, hopefully you will see a higher percentage of the pheno you like. In-breed again and youve got F2, you might be seeing some homogonization by then. If not, in-breed again. You might not need to back-cross, it depends on what you are trying to get. you could probably homogonize a pheno in a couple years. maybe. Good luck though man, I hope you find something that works for the pain.
