Brand New Grow Box ( Check Out )

Hey guys, me and my buddy just built a grow box.
1.4FTx3FT
2.2 150w Lights
3.Fan (not oscilating)
4.Top Ventalation







We just planted 2 purple haze seeds 2 hours ago. So i'll keep everyone updated in a grow journal ill make.

Give me ideas, or thoughts please and thanks

those look like incandescent light bulbs to me...if they are get those fuckers out of there. If you don't have the money to buy a metal halide or HPS lighting system then at least get some cfl's. They are the new energy efficient bulbs that look like their coiled up. These are the best alternative to a good lighting system but your gonna need a lot and there still not nearly as good. If you can though definitely get a real lighting system. (htgsupply.com). Good luck and happy growing

yeah you need to get some CFL's they are cheap and they work really good heres my grow with CFL's https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/123474-bagseed-24-days-bushy.html you need to use daylight 6500K for vegg and then soft white for flowering. I have 4 26W CFL bulbs above my one plant its working great. and another thing you need to have the bulbs right above the plants like 1 or 2 inches above the plant.

alright, thanks alot guys ill go out and buy some cfls in a few minutes, and place em in there, and i couldnt find a way to put the lamp directly on top of the plants, the way they are now , is there no chance ill be able to grow a plant?

no you need to have them right over the plant...check out some posts involving CFL growing

is that aluminum foil in the back, if it is less reflective than white paint matte

no aluminum foil. For the sake of your baby loose those bulbs. Thats like child abuse. Get some cfl or go to www.htgsupply.com they'll hook ya up...ohh and you need an oscilating fan on your plants for help them grow big and strong. Also helps with humidity and heat

looks good, ive had a similar grow box, but it was in a tv dresser thing, it worked fine, but i had to keep the plants real small.

go to home depot and get 2 150 watt work lights(the ones with the metal dome)remove the dome and get 2 y socket adapters. and pick up 2 packs of the 100 watt(27 actual watts) daylight or cool white and hang em from the top. get a few pc fans cause youll need as much space as you can get, trust me!

alright thanks alot for the input guys, and another thing im trying to keep the plants like fully finished at like 3ft max. I bought the 2 cfls but i cant find a way to put them directly over the plants, and im on a short budget i dont have a job atm, so i cant really afford to make an amazing grow box. Im trying to work with wat i have.

The closer you put the cfl to the top of the plant the better it grows. I was amazed that my plant seemed to hit its 3rd node in under two inches!

could you not strip the two table lamps so that you are left with the bulb holder,cable and pulg,and drill two holes it the roof of your box just big enough for the wire to go through,take the plug off pull your wire through place the plug back on place your bulbs in and you should have adjustable lights like(by jus being able to pull or slacken the cable)

you can do that and get so y spitters and make a mini sun

Im kinda in the same preidciment as this guy. I have the cfls but i don't know how to get them in my grow box (how do i power them what cables ect). Does naybody know athread that explains this?
