Brand new ballast crapping out on me!

Okay, I got my new Yescom USA 600w set up in the mail, much to my excitement and joy. I put the hood and all that shit together on my bed, then I plugged it all in to make sure it works. Bright as shit, Look honey there's a sun in my room! Fantastic! THEN... I move it all out to my grow room, hang it, set it up, and plug it in. The thing came on for a minute, then I accidentally tapped the ballast (very lightly) with my foot as I was moving around and the whole thing died. I checked all the connections, waited 15 minutes like the troubleshooting guide said... nada. I am hoping it's the fuse, although I am not sure how reliable a piece of equipment is if it can't take a little bumping and loving.... Heading to the auto store soon to get a replacement. Cross your fingers.... Ideas, anyone?

I am truly sorry for your problem but when you buy lights you truly get what you pay for.
Yeah I guess so, I read lots of reviews, and while this wasn't the most pricey or quality rig out there, it wasn't the cheapest either, and the company has a fair amount of favorable reviews, so I rolled the dice. I was always planning on upgrading, just not this soon! Hmmm, perhaps a switchable ballast is in the works....

You must have gotten a warranty. Check out what the warranty policy is.

There is a warranty and I have already contacted the company. Prob is, my girls are getting ready for their MH and I gotta find a quick fix! I am on my way to Radio Shack for some fuses, hope it's as simple as that. Oh yeah, Yescom wrote and asked for me to send some pics of the damage-LOL! "Here's a picture of my ballast not working..." I'ma gonna send it anyways... I am not smiling in this pic!

they got me too.

less than one year on the ballast. done. they told me 3 month warranty is all.

imo, digital ballasts suck.
running a 6500w mini op... i say ...the best bet in durability is old school magnetic.

hood, cord, and glass are nice though.

the ballast = doo doo

Ok, after visiting 5 stores I discovered that it is indeed a blown fuse. Laughably, none of the stores carry this particular size, so I need to wait until monday and try to get yescom to send me some more. Already in the market for a better ballast for christmas. The hood is nice, tho...

Starting to wish I hadn't either...
I will never buy thru the mail again
usually the warranty means
You pay to ship it back and sometime in the Future you Might get it back

I wont shop HTG no matter once
Already Got burned on a ballast
For the few Bucks I save its better to go to the Local Grow shop
