This is the top layer of Roots Organic B2 stored with the top crinkled down like a bag of chips. Then placed in a trash bag that was left half open. Cool, dark place. It's slightly moist...obviously lol. Good or bad growth? I would still like to use the stuff under it.

I plan to use that as a base. then add
Perlite to taste
33% ewc/compost

2.5 cups total per cu/ft
1x crab
1x neem
1x fish bone
1x alfalfa
2x kelp
.5x pellet chicken shit

3.5 cups total per cu/ft
2x glacial rock dust
1x oyster shell
1x azomite
**MAYBE some epsom salts. Girls in the same mix are showing small kine mag def later in flower under the COB leds

salt, pepper, and a pinch of coconut oil.
Place in trash bag, mix well.
Mix well again. And again.
Apply EWC tea.
Bake at room temperature for 2-4 weeks.

How's the mix look? :D
I plan on having (2) 10 gal smart pots in a 36" x 20" tent. I could fit (2) 15 gallons, but I would have to spend more moolah to fill up all 30 gallons. I already have everything laying around for 20gal. Is the plant health that much better going from a 10 gal to 15 gal?

Thanks! I Love you!

Also. Why salt and pepper?? Youd be better with oats or rice some carb source for fungal food. Ive never hrardw of salt and pepper but i learn something everyday.

The mix seems a lil rich to me.
Keep in mind the base soil you are using is already fortified, adding all that to the mix may be too much, also considering EWC itself is rather high in nutrients as well.
I'd "dilute" that mix with a peat or coco mix. Annnd lots of aeration

In my experience the plant health doesn't improve on the container size unless it's veged too long and rootbound.
BUT the yield do seem to be larger, depending on the strain of course, more typically with taller sativas and lanky hybrids
The happy spot seems to be around 10. At least for smart pots.

In my experience if there are no number limits on your grows, a shorter vege time with more plants in smaller containers work better.
like 3-5 gallons containers, with plants topped to four colas.
cram all those in there under the same light footprint and you'll see what I mean.
that's for a monocrop though.

I miss those days... Been pheno-hunting for what seems like forever...

Thanks! I had seen the same growth on a rootball during transplant, figured it was okay. I mixed it all in a big rubbermaid till the tea is done. Then it'll go into the smart pots with tea applied.

Joking about the other stuff, I like to cook :)

Thanks mate!
Check out the thread in my sig...similar to what you described. 5 plants- 2 and 3 gal smarties. I plan to scrog the two 10gals. 1 or 2 plants per pot, depending on what size the clones are when it's time.

I ended up omitting the fish bone and chicken shit.
So it's
1x alf
1x neem
1x crab
2x kelp
.33x organic 5-5-5

Same mineral mix.
Also the B2 mix is pretty basic. Only has ewc and forest humus aside from peat coco perlite and lime if I remember correctly. Still haven't moistened anything yet so I can add or cut if necessary.

Seeing some of the crazy antics us stoners pull, I would be half half believing it if I saw it too lol. Oatmeal you say? Gotta look into that one
Yeshw for sure. Brown rice is my go to for fungal food. I think its often forgotten about but a very important step to building living soil. Ivr also used white flour. But the oats really seemed to kick it up a notch.

I would have kept the fishbone meal, it's a slow release.
That 5-5-5- may have the same stuff you already do.
I still think you should dilute this mix with something...
like promix or coco or straight peat..
I think you may have issues with that mix as is.
Oh, and I actually do the larger smartpots with multilple plants too.
I have four in each 15 gal, right now as we speak. Just gotta lean em over a bit to help th elight coverage
