Bottoms of plants dying

Hey guys , just diagnosed that I have root aphids and having problems with some plants and not others . I was wondering if anyone whose had Root Aphids can tell me what the symptoms their plants showed ? I'm really stumped also by what seems to be a systemic pathogen or disease . I started noticing that I had plants that the lowest branches of the growing tip looks brownish and yellow while the top shoots look healthy and fine . I noticed these symptoms at different stages and seemingly healthy plants that I took cuts off and rooted in a EZ Cloner that a lot of the cuts would root but immediately have that sick looking growing tips and it spreads to all the other healthy cuts / plants . I had this problem once before so I cleaned and sterilized everything and started over with new seed stock and now it's reared its ugly head again . I'm using city water , so it's not that , house and garden nutes and fox farm soil . I'm at a complete lose .. is it the root aphids? That just doesn't make sense tho because I can't clone out of it ?? It spreads and like I said it starts at the bottom of the plant and works itself upwards . If flowering the lowest buds turn brown and die but the tops are fine .. any help would be greatly appreciated

Like this? Withering bottom branches but healthy top? The was a white fuzzy mold looking patch on it but I hit it with diluted peroxide but that area is still dark and I'm still noticing atrophy. That's a fungus problem in the stem! Called Stem Rot....100% positive!
You could try an anti fungal.....If it was me, I would at least try - drench the soil.
Also can be connected to overwatering...Be sure to let pots properly "dry" out to needing water.
If it fails, ditch plant and put all that soil in the trash!
The soil is most likely the vector...
At any rate, all that soil must be trashed at the end of the run - to the dump! NOT outside! REALLY sanitize those POTS, or simply pitch them with the dirt and get new ones !

Usually it's like overuse of P....Yellowing and loss of vigor.

I would like new pics. Show the affected area and the whole plant. TURN OFF THE HPS to take them!

From what little I see. I have suspected other things but, won't comment till I see the new pics - need to be sure.

Anyway -

Root aphids are gotten rid of in 2 ways. (If they came back, you didn't get "rid" of them!)
The long drawn out hard way with a more natural attack (takes 3 steps and 3 chems, and 6 weeks.) If you ask I'll line that out.
OR
The one shot easy way with Merit 79 used as a root drench (nasty shit, but it works). Thanks for tip Pot Roast!

You must then sanitize everything in the grow! Walls, floors, ceiling, tables (including the bottoms of any surface), pots, bottles of nutrient, fans, intakes, fucking EVERY SURFACE in the grow!
As your finding out, The little fuckers come back otherwise!

Thank you for the response bro , I took some more pics , but was wondering if there was the remote possibility that I also have broad mites too ? Here are some more pics

This is the top of the same plant in these pics , like I stated , I can't clone out of it but I am not sure if it's fungal or possibly broad mites ? It's spread to all my flowering plants post flower , when I flipped them they were healthy and now the over all health of the garden is poor . I'll try and get a microscope tomorrow to see if it's BM's . Tell me what ya think Doc !!

I have Merit 75 and "root wash" also bio war pack and 20 million nematodes.. if I also have broads will the Merit kill them too ? I know it will nuke the root aphids. I've been growing indoors for 3 decades and I've never had these problems. I'm losing sleep over this bullshit . Sorry I posted some of the same pics, I'll take some more tomorrow.

Merit can actually attract mites. It makes the plant give off a stress pheromone that attracts them.....

For BM,s FORBID 4F works best.......Look to ebay for small affordable amounts.

Merit the soil and spray the plants with Forbid.

How long has this been going on? On all the new strains you bring in or only for existing mothers and clones of?

I looked under a microscope and goddamn sure enough , I've got root Aphids and broad mites !!! I swear when it rains it pours bro .. I'm on it tho , it's crazy that I actually feel relieved because I at least know what the fuck I'm fighting !!!

Hey. I get a lot of crap for it from certain people, but dichlorvos has always been my secret weapon when all else fails. Its dangerous stuff if you don't respect it and take the proper precautions. Be very careful when using it though and you should be alright. It's used in flea collars and even fed to livestock to keep away parasites.

I use the "Hot Shots" no pest strips. I always open the package outside and slide the strip into a large mason jar and seal it shut. As soon as I put the jar with the strip in my tent, I turn off all ventilation and seal off my tent. After a week I'm pest free. Be sure to ventilate the tent out of your living area/grow room before going back in. Seal your jar and its good to save for later use.

It works every time I've used it, when other methods fail.

Keep in mind that I grow for my own personal use and even though I believe them to be safe when handled correctly, I only use the strips as a last resort . It would be unethical to use any chemical if your end product is for sale without full disclosure

You're absolutely right... I have a habit of using what my wife has laying around. I usually use fox farm or roots organic but I've had decent results in a pinch with MG and Osmocote. This specific time though I used MGs moisture control and it holds on to water waaaay longer than expected. Definitely does as advertised though hehe...

Before I get crap for that too here's a plant in the same room also in MG but the original potting mix. By the time I'm ready for flower my plants are a couple feet tall and have used up all the soil has to give so I start feeding them my own nutrition plan.

Strain is Bubba OG by Dr.Greenthumb
