Hi there,

My plant is now 4 weeks old and growing under a 125w PURple Nlite..... It seems to be going fine except in the last two weeks my Big Bud plants bottom set of leaves are turning yellow and I think dieing...

I am using Miracle grow 24/3.5/16 once a week so I thought that it would be enough Nitrogen... keep them from going yellow like... Kind of afraid to give to much MG in caase of NUte burn but how should I up the Nitrogen...

My plant also seems to be drooping a bit...

I attached a pic...

any aadvice would be appreciated...

Cheers

Yeh, bit iffy about thta light too but decided to try something new.... Do you think the other leaves are ok?? sometimes they hang like that and if I put them out in the sun for awhile they seem to stand up properly??

I was told to get something like bat guano to increase the Nitro in the plant. what do you think?

The sag may be a watering issue.. you didn't say when you water but at that size I'd do every 3rd -4th day in soil if no perlite or promix added..
That MG soil is high in N already.. be careful not to burn it... Luck.

Go with what Twisty said.

That MG npk is real high in nitro. They are getting too much nitro, MG is HOT and too hot if not used sparingly. If it were my plant I'd back right off the food for a bit. Is your soil MG too? or jus the food MG? If the soil is NOT MG soil then I suggest giving a good ol' fashioned flush to dilute some of the N that is in the soil.

If your soil is MG soil then just back off the food. Give them a little time and see if the N toxicity clears out. When you are ready to feed them again go 1/2 dose.

Good luck

growing under a 125w PURple Nlite.....
Snoopyire... Could you perhaps provide a resource for these lights in the US? I keep drawing a blank. I haven't found anyplace to buy online. Even the overseas dealers do not seem to have them. Any help?

Hi Max,

I'm actually in ireland and bought this light in the local headshop here... your best bet would be to send Nlite themselves a quick e-mail and see if the have any suppliers in US I'd say...

Sorry I cant help

Hey Brasmith,

There two days ago I Transplanted the both plants in to much bigger pots and within a day the plant seems to be doing much better already.... Can I ask you opinion on this 12w Purple grow bulb with the size of the space I have.... word is that this kind of bulb can grow and flower but I'm a newbie and experimenting ya know???

I'm not sure about the purple light spectrum being good for both phases of growth (veg/flower). It's only the wattage amount that raises a question. Typically 12 watts is never enough to induce flowering. You would be better of supplimenting the light you have with cfl lighting. Hope this helps

btw your plant looks alot better.....good work
