bottom leaves drooping.

Hi all

This is my first grow and have had two plants in flowering for just over a week and the are looking good comparing them to others on here.
My problem is that the bottom leaves seem to be drooping down where all other leaves are fine. what could be causing this issue is it lighting where there is a deficiency at the bottom of the plant.

Hopefully we both read equally... His lower leaves he stated, didn't mention which ones exactly. Also, there's no pictures. Hard to diagnose problems without visual.

bottom leaves do that, the larger you plant the more droopy your bottom leaves will be. this is b/c it doesnt get enough light. you can either tie branches down to allow more light down there or you can trim all the lower growth in a method called lollipopping.

I wouldn't suggest a first time grower to attempt Low Stress Training on a plant.. Your best bet is to leave the leaf on until it's dead. Then pluck it. Each leaf is a factory of the plant's food/energy. Over-trimming your plants can cause stress which leads to males, or hermaphrodites.

Sry its not the bottom round leaves it seems to be the bottom set and any new growth. I have just uploaded pics on here for you all.

Pretty ladies!! Keep up the hard work, your fine. CFL's are tough to get dialed in, the lumens don't reach very far, but I think your fine. Leaves at the bottoms of plants are always the first to go (when your doing things right). Another possibility, cuz they look healthy, is that the leaves are turning towards your nifty reflective material to get the most light. Either way, you look fine to me :) have fun! -Chef C

Lol I know this threat is 10 years old but my plants are doing the same thing. Ever figure out what it was? How did they turn out?

just chipping in for the people coming here 10 years later, it means your roots aren't getting enough oxygen, usually happens when you overwater

Also chipping in. My plants also do this once they reach a certain size and aren't getting enough light. They are perfectly healthy and like the one poster said may actually be receiving more light from the reflective surface walls than straight above. This is normal. Unless the start to turn yellow I don't see any problems with this. I only water when the pot gets lite. In one gallon air pots that's about 16oz of water every two to three days. When they need water everyday I transplant up to 5 gallon or I move them outside in the ground depending on the season.

I always fully prune the lower third of my plants every 7-10 days, so those tired or shaded leaves are gone before they can burn up more nutrients or show age, usually 8+ weeks.
