Simple question, just wonder what do other people think is better. Use ff personally thinking of switching to botanicare. Wondering if it's worth it or should I just find my formula with ff. Thank you in advance

I use FF and I am thinking of switching to Dynagrow. I seem to always have issues starting in week 4 of flower, they pull thru but never look like they should.

I used Botanicare PBP in the past. It works fine with 3-5 ml calmag/gal. I wouldn't go back to using it at this point-I get better results from the complete fertilizers like Jack's A/B or Maxibloom. Botanicare PBP works decent as a "semi organic" type liquid nutrient, but you're paying a lot of money for water. I'd either go with an amended organic soil mix or with mineral salts, both work better than the liquid organic nutrients. Botanicare definitely works better than FF if you are deciding between those two.

Brand of fertilizer doesn't really make any difference. Almost any fertilizer will work if used correctly. I've seen better grows with MiracleGro All Purpose than grows using some "Elite" line of cannabis specific nutrients with a dozen or more bottles.

If you follow the FF feed chart you'll probably have issues because they have you significantly overfeeding your plants. That's why they have you flush every few weeks. What sense does it make to overfeed and then flush all the excess nutrients out of your grow medium? It's one of the dumbest things you can do. Those that seem to have success with FF don't use anything close to the strength on those feed charts.

Botanicare is no better than Jacks it just costs a hell of a lot more.

Cannabis specific nutrients are not needed to grow cannabis. They're overrated and overpriced. They spend more money marketing the stuff to a bunch of stoners than what they put in the bottles.

At some point, I will try using the 10-10-10 pellet fertilizer I use on the lawn. It's only $15 for a 40 pound bag, that would probably last a lifetime growing weed.

Wait a second. I said almost any fertilizer. I wasn't referring to some turf builder fertilizer for your lawn. Fertilizers made for vegetables or houseplants can grow great weed. There are 10-10-10 fertilizers that can be used. No different than the 4-4-4 many people use. Just use less. I wouldn't use anything made for lawns.

It's not made for lawns, it's just 10-10-10. It works on anything.

Thank you all for the info. When I use fox farm I have a mixture for seedlings so they don't get nute burn. Will try botanicare and compare to fox farm. Thanks again, Happy Growing
