So if I buy a good soil I won't need to buy the nytes ?

You add dry amendments , compost, worm castings to the soil and cook the soil for a month til everything breaks down . Then use the the soil and only need to use plain water. . Never let the soil dry out or all the microbial life will.die off.

My mix.

Equal amounts of peat moss, pumice and worm castings / compost.

Per cubic foot

1/2 cup crab shell meal
1/2 cup kelp meal
1/2 cup fish bone meal
1/4 cup ahimsa neem cake
1 cup oyster shell flour
3-4 cups basalt rock dust

Mix all up and cook for a month

Cooking soil - composting, allowing everything to break down via microbes so everything is readily available for plants to uptake.

Plants feed what and want they want instead of being forced fed chemicals from bottles. With organic soil plants can and do grow to the full potential of their genetics. Unlike when using bottled nutes.

Money doesn't matter really as I pass on some fruits of my labour to cover the cost for my next harvest but I'm hittin low numbers on my harvest for the money I'm spending on nutes
Money does matter, why pay someone more just because their badge says "canna" or whatever that`s why I like powder food for bloom a 1-2-3 + tm + cal/mag, you can buy by the kg for almost nothing, add some seaweed and just that can match canna for bloom but get some pk and zyme and such

Like fulvic acid as a dry powder you can get it cheap but buy it mixed up with water and a fancy label and you`ll spend loads more on it
