Five years ago his coming August I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I had an operation to remove the cancer, chemo and radiotherapy and I have been on medication for he last five years, which they now want to extend to ten years.
I have been extremely unhappy with the way I look, having uneven breasts is not pleasant so today I saw my breast surgeon who is going to give me some new boob's  I cannot wait to have this done and hope it will be done for the summer so I can wear nice tops that don' make me look lob sided, I have decided to go a tad smaller in size with of course an uplift, which will make all the difference o the way I look.
I am not vain person but I have to say I have been fairly miserable since my body was mutilated, all be it to save my life. What are your thoughts on cosmetic surgery?

Actually you can consider it reconstructive surgery and avoid the entire cosmetic issue. But fixing something you see as broken and that will enhance your life is good.

Cosmetic surgery is fairly safe in-regards to current surgical procedures / technology, you probably have done your homework on which surgeon will do your operation (best of luck) :)
I don't think your vain for opting to fix what physical damage was caused by the cancer, each person has the right to be happy~ Hope the boob job goes well, #cheers

GRANNY!

I would of rather gone the other way and taken more away to make sure the cancer is gone. YOu are a beautiful person, and boobs aren;t going to make you any more so.

Just make sure you are doing it for the right reason. Otherwise, it's a lot of pain and expense.

Much love!

Keep fighting

awwww @Granny weed I don't want to come off as insensitive or disrespectful to you for a couple of reasons.
1) the subject at hand
2) you're a granny, I can't be rude to you.

So with that being said I wish the best of luck to you and hope everything turns out well/perky.

Maybe you can be like a surrogate granny to me? Yeah, you could give me advise on life's challenges as well as share your wisdom with me, and maybe I can motorboat those new boobies one day with out feeling creepy about it?

Lol! They have no idea granny! A 34FF would be a huge reduction!!

Definitely go smaller, less back ache etc. I know a young woman who had a reduction from about a 34G/H to a D or DD and she was still big.

I think in your case there wouldn't be any argument. You are replacing what was lost. I would categorize you under "reconstructive surgery" rather than cosmetic for that reason. For my own body, I am not a fan of cosmetic surgery. I mean, aren't women always bitching about acceptance? I actually looked into boobs myself years ago as I was never happy w/ mine and then kids and blah blah blah. AFter meeting w/ the surgeons (and after husband said he liked them the way they are) I decided not to. Too invasive for me and I learned that you have to replace implants after so many years to avoid capsular contracture around the breast tissue.

But if I were in your shoes, no question. I'd do it in a heartbeat. (And I'm not judging others who opted for cosmetic, I'm just saying it wasn't a good fit for me)
