Bonsai Buds

Hey all.
This little girl is 7 inches tall from base of pot to tip of crown :) (Bonsai)
This is also my first attempt :)
Under 12/12 with an 18w red spectrum flurecent tube from the local pet store, and 2 x 15w CFLs with aluminum can reflecters. Dirt cheap setup.
Used MG diluted in water for veg and using Sulphate of Potash now for flowering, also diluted with water (1g per litre).
She is 3 weeks into flower and had been vegging for only 6 weeks.
If included some HD Photos, and I'm wanting to know how u experienced growers think she is doing?

For your first time,Man your doing great,However If that plant is 9 weeks old (2 months) and only 7 " tall,I would think that plant should be well over or at least to 12" tall.
First lets talk about your soil,I grow ebb and flow but my moms are in soil. you have to add perlite probably a little less than 2/3 soil and a little more than 1/3 perlite. If not the soil becomes too compact for the roots to grow and the soil will hold the water alot longer leading to root rot.aeration is key to marijuanas health
For your nutes Ive never used MG because it all seems "too hot".Very little can be used and then the NPK levels cant be measured at the rate you have to water it down too.Basically you dont know what your plants lack till they start showing signs of deficiencys. It looks like from the pics there is a slight Nitrogen defficiency going on,which explains the light green leaves and the stunted growth.I would suggest next time get some good grow and bloom fertilizers
But I wont badger you anymore,Like i said before for your first grow your doing great. The process of how we learn is trial and error
If i may add 1 more suggestion,If at all possible,You should take a few seeds outside to a nice little secluded area and throw them in the ground, and watch them and care for them. This will help you get a grasp on what the plant should look like and act like. This is where i started, and i grew some amazing shit. Then when i came indoors due to theft my whole world was turned upside down with how fast plants will react to the littlest changes, where outside the whole process is prolonged by up to 3 times what it takes indoors

Thankyou for your reply. A lot of the things you have mentioned i have done on purpose (experimenting) as i have not found a lot of clear, reliable information on bonsai bud growing across the internet. not saying the information isnt out there, just not all sumed up in one.
I read many threads on forums suggesting root binding them was my best solution to keep them small, as they are slightly bigger than i originally wanted them. i read that they grow alot more during flowering and wanting plants that only produce 7-14g, i put them into flower pretty fast to keep the end result small (bonsai).
the N deficiency is one i have been battling with the whole time :(
i have switched to the higher P fert now and just hope im mixing it well and watering regularily enough, but not drowning them. my next grow i will use hydro balls and perilite but for this one i dont want to stress them out anymore. i have 4 in total and can post pics of my others if u like? they are 1 week behind in flowering (put one in a week earlier to see what happens lol) got another plant 4" tall :) proving bonsai is possible. just hope they smoke well :/

oh and i forgot to mention, i have put plenty of drainage into the bottom of the cups they are in. will post more pics tomorrow. ill take some when they wake up :)
