Bonglords La Con ebb n flow 600watt grow!

New to the forum but ive been lurking around other peoples threads for a while and have been seriously impressed by alot of the expert growers here.
So im gonna atempt my first ever grow journal.
My plan is to update it at least every other week with got photos and everything, got a descent camera so its time i make use of it anyway

So to the setup:

160 by 160 by 240 cm room space (around 5 x 5 x 8 ft) divided in two "floors", the top one being flower space with two flood trays under a 600w hps in a cooltube.
360 m3/h(around 212 cfm) inline duct fan sucking air through a Fresh air control scrubber, blowing through the cool tube and straight out of the house.
100 litre (25 gallon) res with air courtains, a big ass pump that floods the trays in about 5 minutes and a weird 4-port air pump that makes an alarming amount of noise.

Sorry about the mess, it isnt quite finished (or properly cleaned) yet.
The flood tables isnt in place yet, but you can probably figure out where they´re gonna be I,ll post more pics when they are painted (clear atm) and hooked up.
The front of the veg box are also gonna be covered up with sheets of mdf and a thick plastic "door" on velcro (is that how its spelled? sorry aboout my poor english, not stoned atm so im a bit confused lol)

The bottom space is gonna serve as my mother plant/cuttling "room", growing only under weak ass t5´s at the moment but im thinkin about upgrading to something more powerful eventually (everything is a work in progress).

The strain im growing right now is DNA genetics La confidential. Havent smoked it myself but im hearing great things about it everywhere and it seems to fit my space and my medicinal needs.
Pre-germed a pack of 6 feminized of which two were duds, sent an e-mail to my supplier about it and he sent me another pack of 6 free (pretty good service imho, so im getting all my seeds from there from now on)
Evetually i want to get some more sativa doms in there and maybe some 50/50 type hybrids, my veg space is big enough to fit quite a few mother plants so im definitly gonna make full use of it.
I´m thinkin some chem dawg and some advanced seeds Black diesel (love NYC d and sour, and the black looks cool af, crazy resin production).

Anyway, two of my first batch of plants showed tap roots like a day after i put the sprouted seeds into rockwool, but the other two hadnt shown theirs even after 3-4 days, so i transplanted them into soil anyway. Big misstake, they´re looking sad as hell atm and havent grown anything at all for several days now.

(oh great, now the fucking "select files" button wont work. God i hate computers)


First two connies doing quite allright, about a week and a half old (slow as fuck but iguess connies are supposed to be..). They recovered from transplant and started growing again after a day or two.

The nutrients i´ve got right now are the Advanced three part with voodoo juice, carbo load and hammer head (all of them for flowering only). i´ve also got some GH flora kleen, and Advanced Hyox (probably going with beneficials instead though, thoughts?)
Thinking about adding Big bud, B52 and Bud candy when flowering time approaches.
Oh, and im gonna order the new Green house mother plant nutrients in powder form, seems easy to use and i dont wanna waste to much time and money on veging, the buds is what makes me tick

Any advice, pointers and constructive criticism is greatly appriciated! If you think my setup is missing anything feel free to tell me
First time doing a proper hydro so its gonna have to be quite a steep learning curve.

Did a quick test of the hydro system yesterday. So here's some pics of it plugged in:



There is still some water left in the bottom of the tray after draining. Do you think this could lead to problems? Like root rot or something? It's not much so i'm thinking that the plants will suck it up.

It's only a mockup, so it will look better once it's finnished.
I have a slurping, loud noise when draining the trays. Is this normal? I guess it's air going up the hose into the tray. Ideas on how to fix it? I'm worried that my neighbours will hear it.

its a great strain potent tasty and fast flower. get the right pheno and it will black out for ya treat her well and top early i like after 5 or 6 node. day42

I just ordered one of these for the veg box!
Sick of it going so slow, so i'm replacing one of the t5 floros with this.

thanks! ya its in seed form probably easy to find in cali. try sowamazingseeds.com or look it up on google. and nothin beats the t'5s for veg quantum badboy t5 are the shit cooler and spread the light out more then the compact floros but do whats ever works best for your space. and if you have your tubs set at a slight angle toward the drain should help with that. noticed your flood and drain valves were kinda in the middle of your tub, next time put the valves next to each other on the short side of your tub. this would also help with draining and could clean up all your hoses coming threw the middle of your veg area and could keep them all to one side giving you more vertical space as well

Hi guys
I have some weird, different symptoms on my plants.

Number 1 is looking ok, except for a few spots and a slight curving on the edges of some leaves.
Number 2 looks really sick. Bubbly, hanging leaves with spots and even holes.
3 is the one with most spots and discolouration, but it looks healthy besides that.
4 is growing, slowly, but it looks better than last week.
number 5 and 6 is looking healthy and all good.
