The only thing bongwater is good for is getting away from you and your plants as soon as possible.

Remember, lye (main ingredient in drain cleaner, aka caustic soda) is easily made by mixing water with or draining water through wood (cellulose) ashes. Cannabis is also mainly cellulose; when you burn it in a bong, the ash lands in the bongwater.

How much drain cleaner would you put on your plants?

What would happen if people drank that shit?

So tipping it down the sink would keep it from blocking hey?

I prefer my smoke in a joint, still curious to know though.

urban bull, as mogie told you if you leave this bong water sit for some time it will turn strongly acid, i had a clear glass bong that got milky from this.

they puked their guts out, that is what a buddy did after downing the stuff

i watch a guy chug a 2 litter he got about 3 or 4 big gulps and spewed every where the shit was comiin out his nose

So really, smoking from a bong, it'd be best to change the water quite often

There's a lot of waxy oils in bongwater (aka 'tar'). If you tipped out your bong without flushing the drain with running water, stinky tar would accumulate in the sink drain. Some may stick anyway.

The causticity (or alkalinity) of the bongwater caused by ash will be readily measurable with a pH meter (measure pH of clean water, smoke a bowl, measure it again and watch the pH jump up), but won't be strong enough to break down fats and oils in a drain.

Cannabis resin dissolves readily in alcohols but is most soluble in ethanol (denatured alcohol, aka methylated spirit). Methylated spirit or denatured alcohol is a very fine solvent for both cleaning bongs and your fingers after manicuring. Putting a little metho in your bong and swishing it around before rinsing it out will dissolve the tars and prevent them from sticking in drains.

Distilled liquor contains ethanol as well, but even very strong booze usually doesn't normally contain 95-97% ethanol as does methylated spirit AND you pay a liquor tax on the drinkable stuff. I spose if you had some Everclear 200 proof grain alcohol, that'd be a fine cleaning solvent, but very expensive. Bacardi 151 proof rum is 75.5% ethanol; the remaining 24.5% is mainly water, making even 151 much more dilute than denatured alcohol or metho spirits.

Bongwater tastes like crap. That's why i threw away my gravity bong, i always ended up swallowing some of that stinky stuff. I had a friend who decided to water his seedling with bong water. it died. dont do it.
