bomb shelter ventilation help

Me and my buddy just recently dug a big hole and made a sort of bomb shelter out of wood. I don't know what else to call it, but anyways. We are using 2'' foam insulation sheets. Using one of those radiant heaters.

As far as ventilation goes, what should we do? What do we need. We have some pvc and elbow. I just don't know now.

this is not called a bomb shelter. this is 2 crazy kids that cant grow in their closets cause mommy would find it.

I would think you are going to have massive insect problems.

How well is this room constructed? Is it actually sealed up?

Its sealed, all pt stock. Threw in some hard pack and stone dust for the bottom, used that new zip system plywood. The stuff you just need to tyvec, tape the seem and go. Then put a layer of ice and water all over and then before building we layed a tarp down, and another tarp will go over it before burring.

Its 7' 3'' x 6 foot, and 5' 9'' tall. So theres just enough room to get things done. We are getting all the insulation in before the roof goes on. Got r19 fiberglass insulation for in between the insulation, then covering everything with the 2'' foam insulation. Should'nt crush or cave in forawhile. But i need some ideas for venting. I was thinking of getting a bigger HPS, maybe a 1000w. I know those have the big 4-6'' duct vents. That could be our potential vent. Probably be a fan on the plants too. Using those little radiant space heaters.

Its going to be mad weird trying to find this thing in the snow

Yeah, theres going to be a huge heat signature, thats why we wanna run it away from the grow site. Lemme get some pics and hopefully that will spark more interest.

yeah get some pics and we can give u better advice, it sounds like alot of maintenance to keep everything right , im really interested in seeing the "BOMB SHELTER" sounds cool + rep for ingenuity

I know what your saying, screw my life. Theres going to be a 1000w hps that i would like to hold onto and not get crushed.

I just used the term bomb shelter because i don't know what the hell else to call it.

All i have is my shitty cell phone camera. I can't get a non blurry shot. I do think i can get it uploaded using my printer. Phones got some micro sd thing.

Anyways, you think i need air comming in and air being drawn out? Got any suggestions?

Easy. draw air from outside w/ 6 or 8 inch inline fan. blow the outside air through your light fixture and across the bulb, let the air into your room. This will heat your room. Now air is coming into your room, so air needs to come out of your room, passive exhaust.

get some pics up that's the best way to get good help. got a picture in my head but its just a hole with some wood hahaha nothing i hope you have going on meaning i hope yours looks better then what i am picturing.

Just seal all your wood or whatever's going to be against the dirt with some Henry's or water seal tar shit ...... after you do that start building your walls against the dirt .... i would even build a floor so its nice and square the walls and the floor so the roof will be easy to build .....If you use tarps make sure there tight with no holes dam traps and growing with lights i don't think its a good idea spend the money and buy the ply wood build a nice roof ...........just think if your going to grow in here make it right the first time. You could build a sick stealth grow under the ground but there's allot to think about just not something you can jump into.........as for the venting i would dig a trench away from the room to some bushes or rocks bla whatever you have around then run your pvc 6'' or 8'' bigger the better pipe in the trench and cover with dirt make sure the vent that's popping out of the ground is covered in away no bugs, critors or rain can get in..........dam this would be fun to build cant wait to have allot of land...........then on the inside where the vent pipe comes into the room put your nice big fan sucking air in.......kids up i will be back to check for the update.......if you cant get pics try and draw up something ..

and where are you getting electricity from?

You and your friend must have been tired as hell digging that with a shovel.
