Bodhi Space Monkey & Buddhas Hand

Day 34
Using the t5s again as temps were getting way too high. Also covered the tops of the buckets with panda film because the drip ring was splashing nutrients all over lower growth causing a salty residue on leaves and causing some lower leaf tips to turn black. Seems to have resolved the issue.
Labeled the Space monkeys 1-7 as i will take clones soon and need to keep track of them. Ppm is ~ 750 per bucket. Ph 5.8. Water temp ~72°.
I have 5 Buddhas hands remaining. 3 are showing strong sativa lemon thai traits. But the 2 i have in the power growers are showing more indica leaning traits. I will be putting the other 3 bh in a dwc/drip bucket tomorrow as well. Stay tuned .


Edit* the buddhas hands put out no smell during stem rub. The space monkeys all vary from straight chem to floral / fruity /sour chem, with #4 being the stinkiest.

My Buddha smells like fresh clean roasted turkey- I know it is just not right for me to say that but I gave her a foliar feed and I just couldn't help but notice. I'm going to turkey hell. Robot turkey hell. Leaves are soooo wide!

Day 38
Space Monkeys 1-7 are doing great. All buckets are at ~750 ppm and 5.6 ph. Room temp is78°.
The SM are bushing out nicely and i should be able to take clones sometime next week.

Day 44 of veg.
Im supposed to move tomorrow so i have to delay taking cuttings and sexing. I will take them on sunday if they don't go through much shock during the trip. Anywho, these are pics i took for IG yesterday. I did some pruning to allow light to penetrate the lower shoots. Growth is lush and ppm and ph is stable.

Moved 800 miles away, drove 16 hours straight. My SM and BH survived the trip with only some slight yellowing of the roots. Going to take cuttings today and try to run a side by side with my EZ cloner and a humidity dome to see which gives me better results. First time using an EZ cloner, and I've heard a lot of bad stories about them so my fingers are crossed that it will work out fine. I will update with pics later today.

Thanks @chained . Its my first time running hydro in a few years so they've been through hell and back as I try to dial in my environment and feeding. With the move to a new state I'm hoping I can continue where I left off without too much shock.

just finished checking out your grow. looks great ! my 1st hydro grow were in buckets similar to yours and I did a drip setup alongside it. first strain was Barneys Vanilla Kush. good smoke and decent yield. Once I clone and get more uniform plants I will eventuall scrog I think. and I want to try LEDs so I will be watching your grown closely.

Oh cool, mine are Barney's farm Liberty Haze, and I've been very happy. I love the SCROG, too, I wouldn't even bother about them being uniform; my first SCROG used three plants yet one of them took up half the screen, it just filled out waiting for the others to catch up.

Pics of the 7 Space Monkeys and 2 Buddhas Hands before the trip

Day 48
Took cuttings from all 7 Space Monkeys yesterday. I took enough cuttings from all seven plants to put a few of each in an EZ cloner and a regular humidity dome and rw cubes.
I used Clonex and regular ph'd water. Later today I will take clones of the 2 Buddhas Hand I have. Hopefully enough clones take root fast enough so I can begin flowering but I am hunting for a keeper so patience is a must.

clones are doing well. also added the Buddhas Hands clones to the ez cloner. One of the 2 is very squat and bushy so I couldn't take enough cuttings to put some in the dome. temps are at hovering at 80, and humidity is great. this space is 4x4 so I'm using the light from the t5s over my dwc buckets as lighting for the clones, I think it should be sufficient for them. The Space monkeys in the buckets are doing fine and exploding after taking the cuttings.


Here is my Shih Tzu puppy, her name is Rizzo.

During a stem rub today I discovered some exciting smells. All vary between a sour chem/Fruity chem and a Floral chem. #4 has me the most excited, very sharp fresh raspberry at first then deepens into a mango, and very sour throughout. I'm hoping its a female. Even if its a male, it might be the first male I use to keep me some good seeds around.

Did some super cropping on a couple of the bigger space monkeys to keep an even canopy.

Only 2 strains so far. But i want to make sure i get a harvest every month or so. Thanks for stopping in

I just meant in general lol, theres a dinafem store up the road from me and another seed store that sells humbolt and a bunch of other seed banks :O plus I wanted to get a few strains from barneys, Dutch passion, and a black domina from sensi. Buuuut bodhi is now on the ever expanding list lol

Nice! you must be across the pond? my first hydro grow I used Barneys Vanilla Kush.

Day 54
After 7 days in the cloner 21 out of the 25 Space Monkey clones have roots, with some showing as early as 5 days.
I cannot visibly see any roots coming from the clones in the dome but they are showing signs of rooting with a few that may not be rooting.
Based off these results I am probably going to stick with the ez clone. I didn't have to spray them once and I only had to refill with water once.
within the next day or so I will begin flowering the buckets as soon as the Buddhas Hand clones root. Will post a pic of the clones later today

The 7 Space Monkeys bushing out, been super cropping them as needed to try and even out the canopy. I'm hoping all 7 SM and the 2 Buddhas Hands are female but once the clones are sexed I'm sure I will have some males to cull. Stay tuned
