Blunts First Harvest! Lots o' Pics

after i trimmed the buds, my whole house stunk like pot, but 30 minutes went by and it was gone. i had the buds in my closet in a corner hanging by a string with a fan directly on it, and to me, surprisingly my closet did not smell at all, unless you touched or squeezed the buds. i would stick my nose in to smell, nothing... then i touch one bud, and the whole closet smelled like dank ass weed for like 30 seconds then the fan took it away.. very stealth

Hey guys. i would have put this in the 'Cooking with cannabis' section but that shits dead, so i figured i'd put it in my thread.
I decided to make some butter last night. i took 1 stick of butter, and cut up all my resin clippings and fan leaves, and threw some big ass stems in there too. i put the butter in the water, boiled it til it was all melted, reduced to a simmer and added the clippings/marijuana (~10g). it sat there and brewed for about an hour (i cant do the 4-24 hour) , then i strained everything out of it, and set it in the fridge overnight. i just scooped out the butter into a bowl, and took a pic of it. idk if you can tell if butter is potent, or even psychoactive at all just by looking at it, so i added pics anyway. any help/comments appreciated.

lol i opened the mason jar thats been sealed for 1 day and all night, and instantly my room smelled like skunk for at least an hour. will curing cause it to compress too? thanks

And i tried that butter, i put 1 tsp per slice of toast, and had 2 pieces of toast. so 2tsp of butter, i wasnt super high laughing and geekin out, but i did feel like i smoked a fat mids blunt but with the whole body buzz. wasnt too potent

will curing cause it to compress too?

As your bud is curing its slowly releasing and evening out the moisture from the center of the bud. The buds are still shrinking but they shouldn't "compress"

hey blunt at least you turned what use to be considered waste into something. even if it's not a whole body buzz, it's something & definitley a learning tool.

^^ yea i know i had to experiment with it some time. next chance i get on my next harvest im gonna try n make some oil. id like to make some bubble hash with the butane but i am brokee. thanks for all the comments! ive already smoked 2 joints outta the jar, the buds are really dry, and even when i opened the jar for the first time since yesterday, the buds were still crispy and dry- yet very stiickky ickky. i thought curing would make them moist? did i do somethign wrong?

these buds are really loose. not compact nugs. is that just the strain that it is?

That's completely wrong. Cannabis has NO TAR inside of it. Smoke as a property contains tar, but water filtered smoke and vaporized cannabis contain almost to virtually no tar whatsoever.

Loose buds can be from insufficient light or harvesting early.

^^ thanks. i did harvest early, and they got plenty of light. i maybe its a combo between the strain / early harvest. im still happy with it though, it gets me high as hell, sticky as hell and its my first grow, so i know ill have betta oness

First off like the fella said above you tar is put into cigs as well as 140,000 other carcinogens... Marijuana has very little if any. comparing the two in terms of health marijuana wins by a land slide with health concerns even if you only smoke blunts and joints, it is still MUCH healthier not to mention you can digest marijuana where as with tobacco ingesting it will cause some serious sickness. I could go on for hours about the two but key point tobacco is harmful as where marijuana is medicine. But to answer your question on why your bud looks like that is not a bad pheno or strain or lack of light rather just plucking it too early bro. I feel you on the situation and sometimes sacrafices need to be made to keep it going but if i were you I would just make some butter or hash out of what you got so you can at least enjoy the smoke... The buds taste horrid and look like that when you harvest too early. Next time wait until the calyx swells and ALL hairs are red/ orange. you will notice the plant get a tint darker as well GL and happy toking!

these buds smell and taste excellent. and i get baked when i blaze a pinner, and it lasts long. im proud of what i grow for my first one, but i wish i could have gone longer it would have been so much better.

i wonder how much potency is gained thru drying and curing?

i read once your rounding the end of the drying stage, you can roll one up to see if its dry enough. we smoked one, then started the curing, and its like 3-5 days later and this weed is sooo much stronger, just from the curing. i would say 75% stronger than when it was finished drying. lets put it this way, my mom has been smoking for years, and when she smokes this, she hits the couch and is out within 10 minutes. every time... lol. im just amazed how you can take some seedy ass bobby brown dirt weed and turn it into seedless light green sticky icky.

Nice work bluntman! Do you know what your final dry weight was? There's nothing like smoking what you cared for all those months is there?

ahah i love the feeling of smoking it after taking care of it for so long. this is definitely my new hobby
the weight that i got was between a quarter and half after we smoked 2 joints. all this talking , shit im gonna go roll one up

so we are ending my bag of weed, and my other plant is almost ready. how would i make it to where i harvest every 2 weeks? just plant a new seed every 2 weeks apart right? id like to have pot ready when my stash runs out

there is a grow technique called SOG sea of green i think? i dunno....ive been staggering planting for the same reason. i too have another plant that wiill prolly be done when my harvest runs out.....

@xBluntman.......Dude your plant had alot of potential. If you had waited she could have been amazing. It is a damn shame that you had to chop her down early. Hope you enjoy your smoke.
