I've done this but, I read today that with autoflowers the trichomes will not turn amber, but I see you can use color of hairs which I've been doing as well.
I used my loupe and the side buds of the plant have some amber trichomes while the whole plant is between the very cloudy to amber stage almost all hairs have changed colors, but no white ones stand straight the plant smells fruity and sweet when squeezed but cannot be smelled otherwise.
Sometimes you have to chop in stages. If you got some Amber then I would chop the top cola and allow the rest to do the same. As long as most is not clear your good. And you time is from seed. The person stating from when the hairs show is suggesting that it would take a bit long which is true. A 8 week strain really goes to about 9-10. But then again it depends on how it's grown. With a 1000 watt light I would think you could stay closer to the 8 weeks. Are you able to take a pic of the plant in the bathroom with good light

Looks good. Was this your first auto. I don't want you to be turned off from growing autos cuz of the weight. From a Google search it's look about right. Next time get an auto that gets huge. I'm doing Buddha syrup right now....someone pull 7 oz off one plant
Autos range between 2-6 oz. there are higher and lower but I think this is a pretty good average. If u run a junk strain under s Mars hydro in a Dixie cup don't expect 2zips. If u run under a 600hps in a 5 gallon and nail the nutes then you should get 2-4. Much over that takes work and work takes experience to. These have about 2-3 weeks left and looking like the top end of my guess

Your best to use these as their actual wattage. Their 600 draws a little under 300 watts. So then if it takes 2 of their 600's to equal 600 real watts and in turn you aren't saving you anything in heat.
