I haven't cured it yet. But as of now, kinda disappointing. Not that it's bad or anything, but it looks so amazing that it doesn't live up to expectations. It's got one of the better bag appeals of any buds I've ever seen, but it's not quite as good as it looks. Maybe after it cures it'll pick up some strength.

Ok. Cured it a little longer. Made all the difference in the world. Holy fuck, it's epic. It one hit KO'd me when I hit it out of a very small pipe. Haven't had that happen in a while. It now smokes as good as it looks. Very heavy body high. I found the smell and taste rather generic, but I'm quite the weed snob. Other than that I give it an +A.

Keep them all! They grow medium height and stay compact. Branches were small and went strait up, not bushy at all. Grew tight monster nugs from top to bottom. Zero stretching what so ever. Had to dig out some of the rockwool when I harvested because big nugs literally started less than 1/8 inch from the bottom. Check for rot frequently in the last 3 weeks!

Was grown under 1000w hps's, 6x6 rockwool cubes, flood and drain, no veg SOG (I did not need to chop off any branches to lollipop), humboldt nutrient line with MOAB substituted for the big up powder. Finished in ~8 weeks maybe a few days less, yielded 3/4z, final height was about 14inches as I recall.

Nice bro. What's the growth/yield on the XJ-13? Any experience or knowledge of their 707 Headband and 98 Bubba cut's?

I also have my eye on Cali Connection clones like Alien OG etc..Supposed to be fire.

I'm currently growing Casey Jones and Sour Grapes from Oaksterdam.

Casey so far stretches a lot in flower (perfect for straight to flower) and a little powdery mildew, but not much. Overall looking good, with nice trich's starting to fill in and it has a diesel smell to it. Might need to give a little more N in flower. sorry no camera.

Sour Grapes on the other hand is way prone to PM, but is frosty as shit. Like Hightimes centerfold shit for real. And it smells like grape koolaid powder with a sourness to it. Medium sized Indica growth. I will put up with the PM because this strain is crazy. :weed:

I will post a smoke report later and hopefully have a camera by then.:joint:

the XJ a medium sized plant with very dense, very strong nugs. Mine had no bud leaves on it, only fan leaves. Basically you don't have to trim it, which is very nice. About average yielding, a little less than the cotton candy. But it was really fantastic stuff.

Fuck their "707" headband. First off, it's not real 707 headband. Try bringing that up to humboldt and tell them that it's headband. Everyone will tell you "that's not headband!". I've done this. Second, it's a big (hight and width) and super low yielding. Not a great combo. It's also ultra sensitive to ph. Any variance in your PH at all and it will lockout all nutrients. Also if you don't flush it like once a week, yep, nutrient lockout. It's a pain in the ass and not worth it considering it's not even the real headband.

The buds do give a similar high to headband, but they don't look or smell like headband. It's a different scent and not nearly as powerful in teams of strength, smell, or taste. Basically, stay away from this strain or you'll be sorry.

Never tried their bubba. However their OG is fantastic!

Haven't done sour grapes, supposed to be good though. Been doing casey since it first came out. Like casey, don't love it. Too fluffy for me. But anytime I can get my hands on a strain that smells like thai and finishes in 8 weeks I keep it around.

Yeah, it keeps stretching till like week 6-7. Mine tend to triple in size during flowering. Try phosphoload on the casey to tame it, I think you'll be happy with the results. I've never had a PM issue on casey though. In my experience it's one of the last plants to get it.

Right on, thanks for the heads up on the Headband. It is my fav all time strain, just never got around to grabbing a cut. I'll probably grab the XJ13 and Tahoe OG cuts next run. + rep

If you're getting og cuts get at least one of the oaksterdam normal OG kush cuts. It's very good and it'll out yield the tahoe cut.

thanks for all the details man. i will grow out all of the cotton candy. have you grown their green cush/green crack? i also got 3 of those. do you grow 1 strain at a time? damn i hate powdery mildew, that shit keeps me awake at night. from your experience which ones are more resistant to pm? and which ones more susceptible?

and that bitch casey i vegged her for about 5 weeks and shes way too big, takes up too much of my limited space. she does seem more resistant to the pm though. how long do you veg the casey? you say shes done in about 8 weeks? cause i heard it was around 10. Im in week 7 right now of flower so i guess we will see.

I vegged my Casey to about a foot, maybe foot and a quarter. They are over 3 feet now 4 weeks into flower. The catalog say's Casey should go 8-9 weeks.

I've got my eye on the green cush, anyone know if it is the real deal cut?
