Blueberry nearly done?

Im planning on harvesting these 4 Blueberry (dutch passion) girls when they are ripe & when the amber hairs have receded. They are currently in week 8 of flowering.

Id like for somebody to estimate how many more weeks I have remaining & to confirm if the yellowing leaves ( are normal during this part of the cycle.

They look really nice, but they seem to be at least 10 - 14 days away. But I've never grown that strain before so I'll just shut up now....

Good luck with the harvest!

Nice grow there iloveit.

From other grows I have watched on here I would say the yellowing is normal at the end. See it a lot in other grows.

Be sure and let us know how that blueberry smkoe turn out for ya! BB is on my list to do!

id say at least a good couple of weeks before they are ready... just my guess... and the leaf yellowing is fine... it happens as the plant runs out of nitrogen during the flowering stage... if you want you can give them a low low low dose of nitrogen in with your next feeding and it'll help.. some bloom nutes even have low amounts of nitrogen in them to eliminate the yellowing or limit it rather... but your girls look great... just a little while longer!!

smokinrav Thanks

skeeterleg Ive seen the yellowing on other strains also but some of those little leaves are beginning to get a little crispy which got me a little worried, Ill definitely report the harvest & results in my running journal: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/129981-my-first-3-chamber-closet-41.html

simpsonsampson420 Today I mixed new solution to 1200PPM I usually keep the nutrient tank at 1000PPM I think I may have over done it YIKES! Will the plants display some sort of discolouratio? Most growers harvest according to the complexion of their Trichomes but Im going to wait until the buds are ripe & amber hairs recede because I want the buzz to be as hard as possible. Though I plan on flushing for the last 2 weeks Im unsure of when to begin flushing as this is my first ever grow.

bubblegumwidow To be honest I think about smoking it everyday while I lay in bed. Those extra pistils came out of no-where, the nutrient instructions say to cut back on the nutes (Vitalink MAX bloom) when "Expansion in size of flowers/fruit" but today when mixing new solution I accidently raised the PPM to 1200 (usually at 1000PPM) http://www.vitalink.eu/Guides/nutrient_schedule.pdf
I think Ill have to wait much longer as Im planning on harvesting when 90% of the pistils are amber & are receded.

sweetsmoker Ive done some reading & I have a microscope actually I have 3 but Im planning on harvesting when 90% of the pistils are amber & are receded. I want the high to be at its potential.
Whats your opinion on these 2 threads:

hey bud that thread you laid on is spot on, follow that and u be ok, as long as u clear on the diff between trichomes which are the little chrystals on ya bud and shade leaves, which wen u look at them through a powerful mic u can see if they are clear , amber or cloudy. and the hairs ,,,which dont really let u know wen a plant is ready as diff strains have diff times of browning off, some before they are ripe. generally though as it rightly says in the thread, u can tell by looking at the overall plants wen the time is right to harvest, all leaves are yellow plant has plumped up and gives off an amber tinge and it looks like its had enough, let us all know en u do chop wil be nice to see the end result, they really do look lush v jealous:)

Hi ...

Love that purple color ... looks real nice.

The yellowing is normal at this stage ... BUT ... from the looks of the leaf tips, I'll bet you've really ramped up the nute dosage.

i really cant look at your plants enough... ill trade ya some of mine when my crops done?? i still have like 5-7 weeks... but what da ya say?? gotta deal?? the yellowing is normal.. dont sweat that... and really by this time you should be pretty much done nute feeding anyways... so the yellowing my increase... but otherwise your right on track...

ViRedd At first I thought that purple complexion was due to salt build up but now Im certain its just a result of the plants down cycle. I was supposed to lower the dosage of the nutrient solution yesterday but accidentlly increased it to 1200PPM as Ive heard when the plant comes to the end of its life the nutrient dosage should be lowered, I think Ill add fresh water to the reservoir every day to dilute the solution until it reads 800PPPM.

whulkamania Please do but the pics will be posted on my running grow journal
