Blueberry getting funky

At 6 1/2 weeks of 12/12 the BB is already showing signs of approaching full maturity. This the fastest cannabis plant that I have grown. This was grown from seed in Light Warrior soil for 16 days, then vegged 6 weeks with Botanicare nutes, then into a DWC unit to flower with Jack's hydro nutes. The bud close up isn't a sideways shot, the bud decided to grow sideways after it flopped over during a nute change.BB6andhalfweeksinDWC1_zps045b4058.jpgBB6andhalfweeksinDWC_zps16ccc2cc.jpg

Why is this thing finishing so fast? I was hoping to bulk up the buds for a few more weeks, but the trichs are already getting cloudy and when I see trichs turning amber it needs to get harvested. Guessing 7 - 8 weeks in flower to be finished, unless a nanner shows up, then it's chop city.

The Jack's is working great so far, the plants are showing fewer issues than with the Botanicare. The leaf spotting that I was seeing is much less and stopped after a nute change, I think a mag deficiency. Overall the Jack's is easier to use because the pH is very stable, I have stopped needing to use pH down. Also there are a lot less things to mix and measure. The water is clearer after 2 weeks when I change the nutes, not like the scummy mess after using Botanicare. My results were very good before changing and I still have not finished a complete cycle with Jack's, but my impression so far is that this stuff works great and I will probably switch over, but keep adding the Aquashield and Sweet. Next batch I'll try using just Pondzyme and no Aquashield and see if the roots remain healthy. I might try molasses instead of Sweet, still looking into that. Since I flush for a full week there should be no taste difference, just nice healthy flowers, but I will pass around the results for opinions. So far everything I have grown and shared has gotten great reviews except a couple comments that the Northern Lights is too strong, def a night time smoke. Stupefying is a good description of the effect.

420C looks great! Is it really 6 1/2wks? Nice work. Did I miss aroma description?

Peace
Yes, finishing super fast. The trichs are mostly clear, but some are cloudy, maybe 20%. Saw your post so I put my nose right up to the bud and can confirm that this strain has a delicious aroma, lightly fruity, I can see how it could be called a blueberry scent. After the heavy smell from Northern Lights this is a pleasant change. Tempting to cut a bud now and dry it for testing...

7 weeks and it looks like time to start the flush. I don't know why this is finishing so fast, first time I have grown this strain. It seems to like the Jack's. Here are a couple bud shots from today.

Jacks and other commercial hydro blends will lay waste the the hobby grow shop overpriced bottles of premixed salts. Nice work. Hope she flushes for ya. I know I start too late on the flush and the plant is done they don't always get the best flavor. I think metabolism slows too much.
Good luck

9 weeks and I still haven't started the flush, planning today. The plant is healthy and has a really nice light smell.

I agree, how does she smell now? You about a week and a half ahed of us. Our blueberry just releases an insane scent if you just brush against her. I know you are stoked for your right 420? Let us know how she goes.

This is one sweet smelling plant, a great change up after the pungent Northern Lights has been dominating the flower room. I have a couple BB in veg now that will go into the rail system, which should produce bigger plants. This one can only flush for a couple days instead of the usual week because there is another BB sharing the DWC unit that is just a few weeks into flower. It won't mind a couple days of pH adjusted water and that should be enough time for the nutes to flush from the plant getting cut. Then it will be time to decide what to plant in the DWC and get some nutes loaded. Got a couple in veg, this is from a clone of the BB.

Wow she is a beaut! We have two in the dome and hope she roots, I feel like a nervous mom waiting on her babies, lol.

Thanks for the feedback, the plant looks great except for the weird-ness. Yes, early to start trich production, this is going to be a frosty one. I'll post pics in a few weeks to update.
Hey 420c we have a weird Sour Kush, she has thrown out one blade fan leaves, the one in flower is doing fine and has nice buds, been checking her everyday for herm. She look nice and green!

Cut the BB after 9 1/2 weeks in flower under only the stray light of a 600. Used a modified DWC unit with clay pellets and Jack's nutes plus Aquashield and Sweet. The dried yield was just under 3 ounces, should be ready in a month. The smell of these buds is really amazing, there really is a hint of blueberries. No nanners, just a well behaved, robust and easy to grow plant. Grown from a Dutch Passion Blueberry feminized seed.

I have a Sour Kush Headband also, was a freebie from the 'Tude, just moved from veg to flower. I'll be trimming the lower branches and topping in a couple days, going to start at least 1 clone of it. My BB never hermed and there were only a few weird leaves, so no problems with the BB. Good luck with your kush!

This is a clone of the DP Blueberry, grown in a hydro/NFT rail at 7 weeks. Hard to believe that this plant looks ready to cut at 49 days in flower under a 600 W light. No complaints with this strain, it has a good effect and helps with pain control and the 'wear-off' is gradual and not a problem. My favorite strain so far.:bigjoint:
