So I just ordered dinafem's blue widow and greenhouse seed co's jack herer from the tude. has anyone grown either of these strains? This will be my first time growing them and I wanted to make sure they are as good as I've been hearing.

I haven't grown either plant but I know everyone about blue widow. Let me know how it goes, Im starting to grow my blue widow soon as well.

Yeah, I grew the Dinafem Blue Widow last year. It came as a freebie from Attitude. The plant was very short and compact, similar to a white widow structure. Buds are tight with a slight bluish hue to them. The plant had no blueberry/fruity smell whatsoever. The taste was also pretty plain. Blue Widow buzz is a medium-strong Indica stone. My biggest issue was with how long this plant took to finish; An Indica like that shouldn't take 10/11 weeks to finish. With the exception of plant structure, it seemed like the cross got the worst of both parents.

This is exactly what I thought of the Blue Widow. I've seen lots of people on here say they really like it but I thought it was....dull is the best word I guess. The stone was half decent but FAR from exciting or what I'd call potent. Just kind of made you sleepy IMO. Yielded quite well with large dense buds but the smell was like rubbing alcohol and the taste was almost nonexistent.

Cool, well you shall get better yield that way. I know for mine im doing indoor which will be my first experience as such. However, I might just change my mind again lol :weed: I might just want to grow my primary choice of god bud. Blue widow is my continuous back-up. White widow my 3rd

well if it's really as dull as you say then i'll just use it all to make BHO

I agree with the above comments. I got a freebie Blue Widow that I grew out recently. Healthy plant, easy to grow, generous yield, but the smell and taste were very bland. Had a bit of kushy taste to it .... nothing like blueberries at all. The high was weak sauce too. It was only one seed, but I would never order a pack or recommend it to anyone based off of my experience with it.

Hopefully you get a nice pheno out of your pack. It only takes one

Some one gave me a cut of blue widow don't know where it was from I grew it out and gave a buddy a cut neither of us took cuts off it, that was a mistake, it was a strong plant, it's one of the very few that got away for me. I have two ww x's started cuz I liked is so much.

I just harvested an outdoor Female Seeds WWxBB cross. It turned out to be a big plant that was about 9' tall and just as big around. It did hermie on me, but I attribute that to an outside light that came on at night. It was a single branch that was just covered in balls, so I hacked it off hoping that it didn't cause to much damage. The buds turned out pretty damn dense, but they just didn't dry very pretty. The buzz is in the middle of the road in potency. The smell is of musky fruit. The taste is somewhat similar, but mainly it just tastes like weed. It doesn't have a lot of flavor to her at all. I think you give up other areas of importance with this strain and trade it all for yield. No complaints in that department from me. Everything considered, I won't be fucking with this strain again. It just doesn't do it for me.

My blue widow is in its 5th week of flowering she was a freebie, hardly any smell at all even though she is icy. The plant is green very green actually and i'm not sure if the color will change at all but that does not matter I love her anyway lol

I pitch it just because I didn't think it was going to be a winner. To my surprise it was, so keep your hope up. Mine smelled bad like a abnormal strong but not like any other chronic, I thought it was going to be bad based on the crazy smell.

With a name Like BlueWidow I'd be expecting something extraordinary. How disappointing for most of you.

I would've thought that with the proliferation of seed breeders they'd be more interested selling a limited selection of brilliant stabilised strains than a vast array of god-knows-what with fancy names. It's only encouraging me & other growers to look out for keepers & do our own seed growing. If I could rely on what I bought to replicate what was described in the advertisement, then I wouldn't even bother trying to grow seed.

I harvested a blue widow about two months ago, cured for a month. The smell and taste isn't special but the effect wasn't weak it was a creeper. Yield was very good for a small plant, if vegged indoors before the season then finished outside I can see this plant giving very heavy yields. Buds were dense and very nice looking, it seems like it would be a good plant to cross out to a more potent low yield strain like og kush. It also flowered before any other plant in my garden and was the first one harvested, finished in about 8 week's. I had the dinafem blue widow and rp/DNA kosher kush finished around the same time and sampled both out, people like both strains equally which surprised me as I thought the kk would have killed the blue widow especially with people who were used to smoking kushes.

I've grown both the Kosher and Dinafem's Blue Widow and thought the KK blew the BW out of the water. Maybe I just got a bad pheno of the BW as it was just one free seed but it just kinda made everyone tired and it wasn't particularly enjoyable or exciting. Not impotent but certainly not potent. The Kosher was strong stuff that had us feeling some residual effects the next morning.

Just finishing up on some dinafem blue widow I ordered a few months ago. They are at 62 days from 12/12 and most of the trichs are cloudy. Very good yielder for her size(3 bushy feet) and she smells like Fruit Loops or some type of fruity bubble gum. Makes you want to lick your fingers. Very indica with vigorous bushy growth. I grow in DWC and it has been happy at about 800-1000ppm during veg and no higher than 1200ppm in flower, above that got me nute burn.*Very easy to grow. Have not tasted it yet so I cant speak on potency.*

So far it seems like there are a lot of bad phenos but there are a few that sound like pretty awesome so i'll just have to cross my fingers and hope one of them is a decent pheno. at least I have the jack herer pack and i'm glad I bought it. since I have never grown BW I didnt want to put all my eggs in one basket so I ordered some JH.

Yea personally I liked the kosher more and I thought everyone else would have too which is why I was surprised when more than a few people told me they liked the blue widow more. The one thing I did like about the blue widow was that it did not induce any paranoid feelings, I have problems with some strains bugging me out but the bw didn't make me feel that way it was a nice laid back stone. to be honest I was expecting more from the bw ein the effect department but as a plant it was hardy, easy to grow and gave good sized nugs of decent buds. I would say it's a great beginners strain, it'll make yoy feel like a champ with the good harvest.
