I want to say thanks to all the people showing love, sorry I havent been posting these past couple of days I'm on the tail end of a very nasty flu virus. Havent really had the strength to get on the comp and really take some pics. The screen light hurts my head to much.

Mini update right now untill I get some pics later and I'll do a full update. Both of the girls are having some problems with PH flux and cal def. I order some cal-mag nutes and I've since tested the ph of my water and have gotten a filter. Hopefully once I start in with the cal nutes they will clear up quick. I'll get some more pics up later today like I said.

Thanks again to everyone.

Don't worry too much about doing something wrong. I started my plants outside till the second set of leaves popped out, moved them in my garage too far under not enough light for nearly a month before i finally moved them inside with proper lighting. I've broken one of my plants in half, overwatered them, burnt them with my lights and tried all kinds of experiments with LST, and they are still growing strong.

Dang man sounds like you put those babies through some stuff. Hopefully the smoke turns out good! My first grow was kind of like that and they still produce some good herb. But ya for sure let me see those pics. I don't mind people posting pics in my journal.

Yeah, my poor plants have been through hell and back, but then again this whole thing has been a learning experience. I threw some seeds in a pot not knowing anything about growing ANYTHING.
That's sucks having the flu man. Get to feeling better.

Right on man thats what I tell new growers all the time. Just get a grow under your belt because you learn so much from your first grow that you can't learn from reading anything on the internet.

Here are some pics of the nute def I was talking about the other day. After a couple hours of research I've pretty much narrowed my problems down to Mn def and PH flux. So I stoped being lazy and I am now going to water with only flitered water and not that hard tap water I have been using.

I found out yesterday that my tap water is a ph of like 7.0 and the filtered is more around 6.0-6.5. So yesterday I just did a plain watering with the correct PHed water. Not a flush but just a gal of water to each plant. I think they will improve once I reg start watering with the right PHed water.

Now for the Mn def I'm going to go light on the ferts for a couple waterings and only use ferts with no Mg in them. Research shows that Mn def occurs when you have too much Mg in the soil. Now I did do that Epsom salt flush and empson salt contains a lot of Mg. So I think If I just go a little lighter on the Mg I should show some improvment in the little brown spots that you see in the pics. I mean they are 4 weeks into flowering so they don't have to stay alive THAT much longer but I still like to keep them healthy for a little while longer.

If anyone has some better suggestions how to deal with my PH issue I would love to hear them. Do you think I should flush with the correct PHed water or just keep watering them as usual? Any suggestions would help.....Thanks again!

Also it does say to folair feed with a fert containing Mn but I'm 4 weeks into flowering and I've heard folair feeding while flowering is no good......does anyone know if that is true?

I'm just looking for some suggestions....

Well its day 78 (flowering day 34) and I'm in the boring phase of growing, if you could call a phase of growing boring:-?. I love growing don't get me wrong, and you always should have to work for what you get, but I just get bored at this point everytime I grow. I mean 5 weeks into flowering and I still have another 3-4 weeks left. I guess good things come to those that wait. I just wish I had a progressive grow so I could start some new plants. I just dont have room for another grow room. I looked at grow tents today with some T5s for a veg room but I just didnt want to spend the money. I might eventually buy one tho just so I could have another room to just grow in:arrow:.

Anyways update on the plants. The buds are devolping nicely and are fattening up good. Thats about all the good news really though. I Ca/Mn/PH flux issues on both plants just seem to be getting worse and worse. After some deliberation I've decided to go with treatment for a Ca def on BV1. I went back and forth about whether it was a Ca or Mn def. I've decided on Ca though and for the past 3-4 days I've been foliar feeding with botinacares Cal-Mag nute. Every night I have foliar feed her and she still seems to be getting worse. The spots have moved towards the bigger fan leaves. I feed her with a full serving of nutes yesterday so we will see if that helps. At the two week mark I'm going to flush anyways. With the NL the Ph flux damage has slowed but still is progressing. I've watered with the right Phed water for 2 waterings now so we will see if the damage stops. I'll have some picutres up prob tonight or tom. Havent been that motivated these past couple of days, being sick has made me lazy though.

Officially day 80 (Flowering day 37). I've relized that what I've done wrong. I'm pretty sure the soil is the downfall of this grow. I think that the mix that I went with the ph just doesnt stay right and the nutes get locked out. It's almost at the 6 week mark so I am going to flush this weekend anyways and maybe that will help out. The Ca def in BV1 is just getting worse and worse. Doesnt even seem to be slowing down at all.
I ordered a couple things this weekend though and made me feel better:-?.
I got me a mother keeper grow tent and another 150HPS for the flowering room. Now the tent will be used for vegging and the closet is going to be used for flowering. I'll have 4-4ft floros in the vegging room for the mothers. This will cut out on the boring part of growing as I can keep a steddy stream coming in and out:joint::joint:.
I'm also geting some air pots for my next grow. Just some 3 gal ones because 5 gal seems to big to work with.
Another mistake I've come to relize is I let these girls veg too long. I'm thinking a veg period of 30 days next grow, although my next grow is going to be autoflowering plants, but I mean the grow after that. I'm almost ashamed to take pics, like I said the buds are fattening up but the fans leaves are devastated:-?. I mean they had brown spots everywhere and it just takes away from the beautie of the buds:weed:. But I'll try and bring myself to take some pics for documentation.

I want to take time to thank Norma for the kind words. I'm over my sickness I just wish my plants would get over theirs.

We are on day 87 not (flowering day 43), so about 6 weeks into flowering. I flushed the BV about 2 days ago because it seems to be flowering a little fast than the NL. I flushed the NL today. I did both of em with 1 tsp of mollasses in the last gallon of water. From now on I'm just going to flush when I water and increase the mollasses till they are done. It adds to the flavor. Really nothing that new to report.
Both the Ca and the PH problems have since slowed down but the BV most of her fan leaves where damaged and she isnt all that photogenic right now. The buds havent been affected at all and are acutally really fat and still growing, its just the fans leaves are so spotty and ugly.
I got some pics of my beautiful NL girl. You can see the PH flux damage but her buds are so frost and nice. I got my grow tent set up and germed 3 lowryder diesel and 1 sour cream. I am going to do a sept journal for them. Enjoy the pics!
