Blue Sky Oakland

Hey guys, Does anybody out there go to the blue sky in Oakland? I am thinking of picking up a few clones from them. I was told to get there before they open at 8:00 am as the will be sold out within an hour or two. Can anyone tell me what strains they typically carry so i dont have to waste my time just to find out they dont have anything i want .thanks guys

Fo real? every club i have ever called has an answering machine or a very quick minded person who doesn't like to answer questions. come on you know these places don't advertise there menus by phone, internet or billboard...as far as i know. Give me the number if ya got it? Thanks

Ok, you are lucky my wife saves everything from our trips. We visited last Dec. '08 picked up a nursery catalog. I can't tell you if it's still up to date, 5 months old. but, here goes...

Cool, right on Thank You. When i was having my new id card made, they had they catalogs for free so i picked one up. But i was confused about how it works(which dispensaries have what) cause i read the whole thing and it doesn't say where to go? I guess this is like the 4th or 5th catalog? Cause i have been going to the O.C.B.C dispensary for like 10 years(but only like once or twice a year) and i bought some clones from them and i didn't see anything anywhere about this "OAKSTERDAM NURSERY" thing. But the catalogs looks great I hope they have this stuff just like the catalog that would be the bomb. So i guess i will have to set my alarm clock and go post up outside this place to get my ladies...Thank you. Any other info will be apprecieated Thanks!

I'm 99% sure that blue sky and Oaksterdam U, and Oaksterdam nursery are in business together in some capacity.

OK thanks that make sense now. I have never been to blue sky before so...By the way everyone i have the new catalog it has some new strains and stuff so heres what they got:

- NO Prices? Does anyone know the Typical cost for a clone or the seeds? When i have bought before @ other clubs they were like 12 bucks. Are the Blue Sky clones more expensive?

it's usually around 10 bucks a clone at most places, but can be closer to 20 for select strains

Dude, Can you vouch for the quality of this place? I just went this morning. I decided to wait on buying the clones and just check out there bud. For a place that is supposed to be voted 1st place "best dispensary 3 years in a row"...........i was no to impressed. I showed up at like 1030am and they still had like 100 clones so i dont know about having to show up early but then it was a holiday so it might have been different. The facility was nothing more than a "whole in the wall "club all in back . Very small. sold crappy smoothies up front . but even if you wanted one you would pass because the 300 pound black man telling his "story" was just a little profane and scary.
The product: was in a little binder. lol I hate clubs that do this. Bulldog Cafe does this as well. 3 kinds oh kief or hash. nothing that looked good for the price and no familiar names or anything. 3 mid grade buds for a good price 30 an 1/8 . but who cares about mid grade? 3 kinds of " high" grade. 44 dollars 1/8 including tax . not bad price at all. They had Chem Dog which i bought. Blue dot wich looked a little premature and wet. I really don't think it was even blue dot, as i am familiar with this strain and i know what it looks like and it is incredible. i cant remember the 3rd. was the weakest of the 3. NOT IMPRESSED. bought a 1/8 of Chem dog it was a good price but not that impressed i just bought it cause i always feel funny going into one of these places and not buying anything. You know what imean? And one more thing. IF they specialize(are affiliated with the " Oaksterdam univ/ catalog, why dont they carry any of the stains that they sell in clone form ? they didnt have one......So i jammed over too C.A.R.E. Way nicer facility. Cute chick behind the bar. about 20 different strains to choose from . almost all were better than the " high " grade over at blue sky. BUT oh the price was really high. I ended up with a half an 1/8 of Black Domina for 32.50 bucks. They had some great stuff but had a very limited selection as far as more than a gram. You could get a gram of anything but only had more than that amount in a few strains . They did have a " special" ounce for 350 . Lavender and kush something i cant remember. both looked fabulous . But of course i didn't have enough cause i ended up buying the 1/8 over at blue sky! damn it! so i just said fuck it and bout 1.75 grams and went home. I think i am gonna go back and by 2 clones. They had bubba kush and blue dream . The question is ? who has the " Real DEAL"? Blue sky? i mean they have this big catalog and shit and cant even sample me a 20 sack? WTF im not believing . Oh and CARE was cool but i tried to ask the grower who was bringing in clones about a strain that he didn't grow and i didn't even get eye contact hardly any info . SORRY MR. Cool cannabis club grower guy....but i was actually asking about a legitimate strain(Lowryder) and he basically brushed me off ....Yuk!!! i just cant wait till i get my hand on a good strain . Then i will just clone it myself and be done with it because i think these places play a lot of 'games " with the names and strains that they sell.

As for their weed....I think mine is better, than what I bought last Dec. I too, wasn't all that impressed by the place, and will be touring San Fransisco "clubs" on the next trip up....

I have heard better things of the San Fransisco clubs. Although C.A.R.E has great stuff just like 65 1/8 some close to 70! i usually go to the Garden OF Eden in Hayward. Always has The BEST purple strains IN STOCK. 60 an 1/8 . They also have lower grades... check it out.No clones though....I am going back today to get the ones from CARE screw that catalog i dont trust it now! LMAO. good luck to you on your trip bro!

blue sky has good clones so far every one i have gotten has worked well with no pests or mold. as far as what they have available it depends on the day you go but i have picked up cotton candy, white widow, Hawaiian haze and casey jones, if they have cotton cany on the day you go pick one up its well worth it, it dosnt grow much when switched to flower so grow it big in veg if you want a bigger yield it also clones really easy

Blue sky is one of those places that is just waiting for full legalization to take effect.

Now, for those that hate because of its size...if you want a huge club with 10,000 strains, go to harborside. Even I find the whole scene at blue sky to be...a little aggravating. I will say this however, they have two of the best strains I have had in a LONG LONG time. Champagne & Blue Sky Cotton Candy. Tasty, ultra potent (2 hitter quitter) and @ $44 dollars an 1/8 (including tax) is one of the best deals around.

The clones are also good. No mold or bugs. My only complain is that they dont use 1 or 2 inch rockwool cubes and instead use the 6 inch with multiple clones in each block. Every time I buy clones, they give me extras so who can complain about that??

Not my fave dispensary but definitely better than the small location would suggest.

The only thing that really irks me is that oakland has a cap that they put on the number of medical dispensaries, basically saying "no more please"

blue sky is filling one of those slots, and doing it in a way that doesn't really put out a positive image of medical cannabis patients and providers. More clubs like harborside would create the image we need for full legalization, a legitimate business conducting itself safely (lab tests for mold etc.) and in the open.

I think that its hilarious to have a class on "starting your own dispensary" at oaksterdam...when the only way to do it in oakland right now is to go back in time

That is where I got all of my clones this season, and they are great. That place is a pretty good little club for trees and clones, and coffee. Go there and get a lemon bar if they have it, fucking amazing.
