So here we are, nearly two months since the first fires started before national news picked it up. The worst of them were set just a couple of weeks before election day.
It took the fires getting close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to get their attention. Dollywood barely escaped being burned down as they managed to stop the fires just outside of the main gates.

Thankfully the fires near us have been 85% contained and it JUST started raining last night for the first time here in nearly three months. The biggest concern now we have now are potential mudslides, which could cause massive boulders to shift and do more damage to residential areas in their path.
