Blue dream flowering Q's

I have three Humboldt County Blue Dream seeds I sprouted and they are currently about 16" tall under a 250w CFL. I would like to hear from someone who has experience growing this strain about flowering heights. I know they finish in 10 weeks from 12/12 but I am not sure how much they stretch. I want to know if I should flower them now (1month veg) or wait longer until they are over 20" tall.

i grew the blue dream clone only and that sucker has some serious stretch to her, about 3x's or so imo, and i took mine closer to 12 weeks...

I think you might have had blue dream haze and not blue dream.

Dude you must not know about that blue dream, its mostly sativa, it ALWAYS stretches. Blue dreams got me into phenotype hunting. Indoor you should know how to deal with a sativa, if you want to control her, topping and super cropping is highly suggested.

Ok so I guess I will start flowering it now then. I really HATE sativa dom strains and wish I never even bought these BD. I have 3 super silver haze and 1 northern lights that are 100% sativa and they have been flowering since nov 1st and still aren't done! I have been growing indica cheese strains for the past year indoors and they finish with 25% amber trichs in 7 weeks!

Yeah I have 2 grows with blue dream, great strain. It will stretch a bit when transitioning to flower, mine stretched 5-6 inches this grow(went from 24/0 to 12/12). Best way to minimize stretch is to go from 24/0 to 18/6 then to 12/12 and to LST. I would flower them now and they will finish in 45-55 days, pretty fast flowering strain they are always the first to be pulled in my garden. You will like the Blue Dream, fast flowering, strong high, good yielder, nice dense buds, smells and tasted like mixed berries (add berry sweets to increase smell and taste).
