Blue Cheese

I'm wanting to grow some blue cheese but am unsure of the genetics to purchase. I was given some once and the nuggets were small, hard as rocks but surprisingly dense and tasted just like the after taste of blue cheese. I was wondering if anyone had grown some and were satisfied with the results and what seeds were they?

This is my blue cheese. 6 weeks into flower. Wouldn't grow it again as it doesn't yield enough for me for what I put into it. Amazing smoke though!

Blue cheese is a great starter strain for new growers. I've grown a few different phenotypes over the years, that's the one thing theyve all had in common. Top em once or twice and they bush out well without much training. Average to above average yields depending on the phenotype and grower skill level. Barney's Farm makes a decent variety.

Barney's is nowhere near as good as Big Buddha's!

Buddha's has a pheno that can be down right psychedelic !!!! I've hit almost 25% THC with Buddha's (tested)....

Run it long.
Supply some blue spectrum lighting in late bloom.
Treat like a sativa as they can be a little fussy.
Watch for stress (try and keep them stress free) as they don't deal with it as well as other strains.

WELL worth running!

I'm not even 100% sure this is blue cheese. What happened was I grabbed a bag off a friend and when I opened it and smelled it, to me it smelled like straight up vomit. I called him and asked what the hell he gave me and he said it was blue cheese. Halfway through the bag I found 1 seed. And this is where I am now. I look at pictures of blue cheese grows constantly every day and this plant looks nothing like a blue cheese and when I bring it inside at night after dark it smells but not bad at all. With no carbon scrubber ventilation I'm surprised I can't smell it throughout the house. I'll get a good whiff of it when it's outside during the day and I walk out my back door and the wind catches it and me just right. Very frosty though and does smell amazing if I lightly squeeze a small bottom nug and it's very sticky also. I've began my 2 week flush and will chop it a day before week 8 hits. Tons of cloudy trichs not many Amber though and also a bunch of hairs on it are now browing and curling up into the buds also.

This plant was severely sick for some time due to mistreatment and was in veg for a little over 3 months before the switch to 12/12. This F'er has been growing for almost 5 months total now. She's probably got these last two weeks in her at best just due to the amount of stress she went through for so long. I'm surprised she looks and smells as good as she does but I have noticed she's extremely sensitive to nutes as the last feeding she burned pretty good with half strength nutes. (Using fox farm nutes). I cut a small lower branch with a little nug on it and trimmed and hung it to dry. Once it drys and sits in the mason jar for a few days I'll test it out.

That pheno doesnt look nearly sativa dominant enough to really be a blue dream, ive got 3 phenos of it and there almost pure sativa the leaves tell you what the plant is yours looks like a hybrid leaning a little on sativa

oh lol my bad looks good
Pictures don't do this thing justice on the whole indica/sativia debate. She doesn't have one fat leave on her. Sometimes I sit and scratch my head and wonder if it's even really blue cheese as this thing is straight up sativia. It acts like a sativia that's for sure and definitely looks like a sativia. Found this seed in a bag I got off my friend. When I got home and smelled the stuff at first I didn't know what to think because it smelled like vomit to me. Was definitely skeptical. Well I called him and asked him what the hell it was and all he said was "blue cheese" he doesn't grow so who the hell knows lol.

Haha that's why I won't sit and say yeah it's 100% for sure a blue cheese cause I'm sure he's not even 100% sure lol. The name of shit seems to change the more hands it gets exchanged with lmao. It's all good though I cut off a small branch today and it's hanging to dry. Gotta test it out lol.

Pretty much...and that's a big reason why a lot of us get into growing lol.

Early branches are hard to resist!

Yeah I got into it for a lot of reasons. Main reason is I'm sick of paying for it. Why pay ridiculous prices for it when I can do it myself and get better smoke than I'm gonna get from anyone else lol. Plus now I can do concentrates and hash and shit which is also hard to come by around me. Me and my lady both Medicate with it due to extreme anxiety and muscle/joint pain so you can imagine how much we go through. And yeah definitely hard to resist but she's in her two week flush now so one little nug won't kill me lol.

Lol yeah that's the other reason. I fell off a ladder when I was painting six years ago and slipped a disc in my back. I've never had to take a pain killer.
