Block Buster claims that the square shape is optimal for tent grows, is there any truth to this? Thanks!

I run a magnum xxxl in my 4x4 and love it, its a snug fit but awesome foot print. Think I heard someone saying they had a problem getting the duct work hooked up to a blockbuster 8" in a 4x4 tent but not positive

Id get the 6" instead of the 8", its not a lot different but its a tight squeeze getting a big hood, carbon filter, and ducting in a 4x4 area. Pretty sure the 8" was designed for 1000's and the 6" was designed for 600's but dont quote me

honestly bro, you'd be better off saving the $200.00 or so you'd spend on a hood and just go vert from jump street, ...vertical growing isn't MORE complicated, it's LESS complicated, it's easier to deal with the heat and the airflow AND it yields WAY better.

...if you just want to do a grow or two to earn some experience then i suggest you spend $20.00 and do a couple grows with CFLs, then when you upgrade you can use the bulbs around the house, ...i personally have a SuperSun II that is nearly brand new and has been sitting in it's box in my closet for nearly 2 years now, ...someday i may find a use for it but for now it feels like it was a complete waste of money.

peace, bozo

I did a few cfl grows, the second one came out decent. The thing is I really want to try to do a traditional grow this time, but I will def be trying a vertical one at some point in the future. Thanks!!
