these are not really looking great...try something from barneys farm i am sure Blimburn is just cheapest seeds they can get in USA only Gorilla glue sprouted for me from like 6 models i have bought them in 3 seed pack everything other what came in 1seed pack just in plastic bag all inside one box labeled World Wide Cultivars just did not sprouted even after 4-5 days with controling moisture every few hoursthank you! and luck to your next grow as well.
yeah. i was super pleased with their ordering process. very quick. and delivered quick as well. haven't had any customer service issues, so can't speak to that end (prefer not to actually. so far so good *knocks on wood*).
as far as how my blimburn seeds have grown, i just went and snapped some photos of the indoor grows. (please understand this is my first inside grow. i don't have tents and fancy sh*t. just went with what was available... the wife doesn't give up her closet space easily... ) overall, i am very pleased with how well they are growing and or bounced back from a stressful move to new space with new light. they have been tested with MANY of my indoor n00b f*ckups and all come out still ready to rock. genetics look stable from my end and i am pleased i have more blimburn seeds to run. *thumbs up*
Grow space 1
- Blimburn GDP (grandaddy purple) started one seed out of 3. it cracked and had a tail within 24hrs (paper towel method). it has been a vigorous grower since transplanting to soil (i do all organic/OMRI certified soils, amendments and fertilizers) responded just fine to training methods (topping, supercropping, LST) and is now in it's 4th week of flower.
i ended up taking three clones from this one seeing how well it was growing. two survived, and are growing vigorously in small pots.
Grow space 2
- Blimburn GDPDSD (GranDaddy Purple + Do Si Dos) started one seed out of 3. it cracked and had tail within 36hrs. a little bit slower growth than the others. had a vigorous veg stage, under original lights, had to move the plants to different space and under different (more intense) light. this one suffered pretty bad shock from the light change and took the longest to recover out of the 3 that had to move to grow space 2. it is in week 4 of flower. it has wispy buds that are taking their sweet time to thicken up. but my lord the trich production absolutely blows the others away. even the fan leaves have some trichs on them. really curious to see how this finishes up. the whispy buds make me skeptical, but then i look at the trich production this early in flower and say... this could be really strong...
- Blimburn BBMR (BlackBerry MoonRocks) started one seed out of 3. cracked and had tail within 24hrs. vigorous veg state until the space/light change. this one suffered pretty bad as well being centered under the new light. but it recovered much faster/better than GDPDSD. once it righted itself from the light change shock, it got back into veg with purpose. it is a small in stature plant. expecting some chunky buds from this one.
- Seedsman PG (Peyote Gorilla (GG4 + Peyote Purple (bubba kush purple phenotype)) this strain is a beast so far. it took some damage with the light change but sloughed it off like it was a mere annoyance. it bounced back quick and loved the new light. veg required topping, supercropping and lots of lst before it all even reached the scrog screen. it's truly a beast. very impressive growth and (so far) flower production... even in this small ass pot! can't wait to sample this. i have high expectations based on how this plant has grown.
i ended up taking 3 clones from this plant seeing how well it was growing. sadly only 1 of 3 survived (puppy knocked them over) but the one survivor is growing insanely quick. have had to top it already. this strain is legit imo for the seedsman haters.

save your time with this seedbank i have so bad experience with them i spend time warning othersWant their chocolope or chocolopez. Dna is out anywhere i look. Kinda want some chocolatey terps..
What other strains did they include in this study? That strain list reads like a dutch/uk seedbank advertisement.. jes sayin. The problem is there's a baziliion other strains out there, and if you're in the US, you have lots of options.very cool. appreciate your insights and alternatives.
quick backround so you understand my purpose in growing.
- growing medical for an elderly relative with alzheimers/dementia. after a lot of research based on studies conducted by alz specialists in US, Canada, Mexico and Europe i have come up with a list of 15 (main) strains used in studies that showed positive effects for alz/dem syptoms. there are an additional 10-15 strains that were used in studies but results were not shared universally by all major studies groups so considered "honorable mention" categorized, but still on my acquire and try list.
the list of 15
OG Kush
Sour Diesel (don't have)
Purple Kush
Grandaddy Purple
Bubba Kush
Green Crack
Acapulco Gold
Strawberry Lemonade
White Russian (don't have)
Lavender (don't have)
Blackberry Kush
LSD (don't have)
The OX (don't have)
Blissful Wizard (don't have)
Godfather OG
have grown a handful of the 15 and some on the honorable mention list (availability of specific seed strains dictate) . all must be turned to extract for edibles. of the strains i have grown so far, only one of them has shown to work good for the patients daytime use. we have one strain (royal queen seeds - purple queen (purple kush knock off)) that works for the nighttime, but it has a bunch of undesirable side effects (headache, hot flashes, confused pacing) that keep us on the search for something better.
trying to find a primary and some alternates if patient grows a tolerance. want to be able to switch up and keep things working and fresh. so far only acapulco gold is the clear winner for daytime use. mood boost, appetite and energy for daytime activities. with no bad side effects. win/win/win/win.
focus for the coming grows are to find patients primary nighttime strain. relaxed, happy. hungry, sleepy.
secondary focus is to find the alternate daytime strains.
looking to run:
og kush (seedsman), bubba kush (seedsman), blackberry kush (blimburn), gdp (blimburn), godfather og (blimburn), purple kush 1 (kannabia), purple kush 2 (blimburn), critical purple kush (seedsman), cali bay dream (garden of green)
these all have the THC and terpene profiles we are looking for. hoping the breeders and seeds i have are up to the task.
was looking at the dynafem and humbolt bubba kush and og kush offerings, but the prices and/or availability make them prohibitive when we are on a purposeful strain hunt. buying expensive seeds that ultimately may not work after months of work... i'd rather the jv team get in there first and see if they're going to do the job, THEN send for the A team when we know.
anyways, appreciate your responses and tips. thanks man.
the headaches could be a multitude of things. patient on hormone therapy as well and THC can affect estrogen/testosterone levels. getting everything balanced is like trying to transport water in a sieve. we can plug a few holes, but not all. we don't know for sure if its the purple queen strain or not, but patient complains of headaches about an hour after ingesting the PQ gummies. very consistent.do you know what was causing her headaches? are you testing the buds? organic?
yes since you getting dinafem seeds already and need og terpene. They wont look very good mine didnt yield very much but I ran almost all dinafem 1 run and it had the highest terps I have ever had from them, to be honest from alot of breeders. I only ran 1 freebie
you can speak with splinter in depth as hes had many pheno. I honestly think this one surprised us both.
USA. The great state of Texas.
you aren't the first one with that observation. understand the studies were started back in the late 80's early 90s and those particular strains were either avail or apex at the time. What other strains did they include in this study? That strain list reads like a dutch/uk seedbank advertisement.. jes sayin. The problem is there's a baziliion other strains out there, and if you're in the US, you have lots of options.
Have you thought about growing any CBD strains? Is CBD beneficial for alzheimers/dimentia?
I get what you're saying, but whatever strains they tested were individual specimens? Were entire seed lines tested to ensure they all have the same properties? There's just so much variability, I question the value of these types of studies.you aren't the first one with that observation. understand the studies were started back in the late 80's early 90s and those particular strains were either avail or apex at the time.
fast forward to today 30yrs later... lots of crosses and new strains. i am pretty sure some offspring of the list of 15s would achieve the same thing, but at least with the studies, we have a base of data to work from. will worry about modern crosses when i see what old school strains actually work as advertised. from there finding the right THC and terp profiles should be easier to do.
Humboldt seeds can not currently sell seeds, website says they are working on it. Probably the state wants thier cut first?Drgreenthumbseeds.com
Great lakes genetics
Humbolt seeds
Barneys farm.. these have been good.. drgreenthumbseeds are abit pricey but are top notch in yeild and quality..
Humboldt Seed Org. was part of the La Mota troubles with the Spanish government (Dinafem was also part of this). They are not a US seedbank.Humboldt seeds can not currently sell seeds, website says they are working on it. Probably the state wants thier cut first?
I didn't have any issues at all. Also on medical therapy of various types as you mentioned. I also suffer from chronic headaches. They come in two forms related to weed. One is from being too dehydrated. As the thc goes up in ur system the headache worsens. The other is from coughing which gives me headaches related to the eyes. Sometimes the next day too. The crit kush made headaches feel pretty good. There was notable CBD presence which feels awesome. I have noticed some allergy issues from vaping or smoking a lot....or if I handle a lot of bid. An anti histamine clears it up. Still nothing in crit jus to cause headaches the lemonene level seems super high. I can get messed up eyes when carophylene is low and lemonene is high.the headaches could be a multitude of things. patient on hormone therapy as well and THC can affect estrogen/testosterone levels. getting everything balanced is like trying to transport water in a sieve. we can plug a few holes, but not all. we don't know for sure if its the purple queen strain or not, but patient complains of headaches about an hour after ingesting the PQ gummies. very consistent.
testing buds? no. nothing that fancy. though the wife would like to test the gummies to be certain of their strength to dial in the dosage... looking for home test devices. but probably mess with it more after the holidays.
yes. all organic grow. organic oils for infusion. and have to use special sugar free gelatins for the gummies and/or keto/gluten free brownies. (patients diet is ridiculously strict - but for good reason. gut health and alzheimers are directly linked).
the terps are pretty important here. hopefully be responsible for handling a few of the more pronounced symptoms. i had to dive down that rabbit hole for a bit last year trying to seek alternatives to "the list" when availability of specific seeds became an issue. strains with similar terp profiles, or genetic descendants of "the list" ended up on the radar.
any advice or tips are great. would welcome splinter's feedback.
i guess my biggest issue is getting through all these strains... growing them. i don't have the space to get them all going... and living in a non-legal state doesn't help much. gotta keep things discreet. might need to outsource... find some local growmies willing to run some of these strains for me to test out on patient.
Want their chocolope or chocolopez. Dna is out anywhere i look. Kinda want some chocolatey terps..
i ran into the same problem a few weeks ago. their OG Kush was back in stock, but unable to buy from their website. any links to redirect to reseller showed out of stock.Humboldt seeds can not currently sell seeds, website says they are working on it. Probably the state wants thier cut first?
that is one of the first questions i ask the wife when the headache issue comes up:I didn't have any issues at all. Also on medical therapy of various types as you mentioned. that is one of the first questions i ask the wife when the headache issue comes up:
"is patient dehydrated?"
sometimes the answer is a resounding yes.
getting the patient to eat and drink, even when they are absolutely stomach growling hungry, is like pulling teeth. they don't like the food or drink you offer? they aint eating it. regardless of being hungry.
the acapulco gold is the only one (so far) that gets the appetite up and the level of pickiness down.
yeah. this gets complex. with the way her mind works (now).not sure you are aware, but aging leads to lower water retention. it might be difficult to know how dehydrated one is. my guess is most older folks are very dehydrated. i don't know a single old person that i thinks drink enough water. they should be aiming for nearly a gallon a day, imo, as should anyone.
Ok, After reading some information on Alzheimer's for about 10 minutes im an expert on it nowyou aren't the first one with that observation. understand the studies were started back in the late 80's early 90s and those particular strains were either avail or apex at the time.

i did grow two CBD strains. (purple kush cbd and cream and cheese cbd) contrary to my own thoughts before starting the research, i was thinking that CBD would be more beneficial. it is actually HIGH THC content that is removing the plaques that build up between neurons in the brain. high concentrations of CBD do not help in that manner.
the only thing we have seen CBD help with is the anxiety.
i have two hazes on deck for next spring:Ok, After reading some information on Alzheimer's for about 10 minutes im an expert on it now
From what I read the biggest factor in treating is going to be CBD and THC as a study shows to have one a better job at removing Beta-amyloid in the brain than either CBD or THC alone. So you should pickup some CBD strains and process them in the same gummies as your High THC strains together. Beta-amyloid is a very sticky protein Probiotics will help break it down, and may assist in processing her gummies in the gut. I took probiotic pills but I notices kimche and saurcraut works better but more is better.
Pinene has shown to get good results for Alzheimer's and Dementia. Years ago good growers on instagram teased people that had pine terps, it was a running joke the market was moving away from pine terps anyway. However it has anti microbial, anti depressant and anti-inflammatory benefits. Bro Science Drs believe inflammation aids in the disease, sometimes bro science is right.
Get you some hazes or some jack to get thats heavily abundant in this terp. I mentioned Bodhi has a very fine one. You already have a sativa and it already gives you anti depressant benefits so thats great. You will fine both lemon phenos and pine in that strain bodhis jackxhashplant. Pinene improves memory function. Super lemon haze has some pine and some lemon phenos.
