My relatives tell me I should SPRAY MY PLANTS with diluted BLEACH to kill and ward off fungus. Are they crazy? They been growin' for many years, but sometimes the old folk can have some wack ass practices...
Well, there are uses for bleach in agriculture..I like it for keeping my hydro reservoirs clean.. as in using small amounts to keep bacteria out.. like in a hot tub or pool (and with the same calcium hypochlorite granules)...
You can also treat seeds with bleach (find the ratio) to keep seeds from damping off...
In plant tissue culture, small bits of plant are chopped off, dipped in bleach, and then grown in petri dishes...
so there are lots of ways to use bleach in growing..
Thanks for the advice. I might try the iso trick to kill whiteflies on contact next year. I love iso alcohol, so many uses. I only worry about how it could affect the trichomes. It is a pretty polar solvent.
