Blaze & Daze

I received a dust storm warning for my area on my phone. Dust Storm??? What is this, circa 1930s? It says to pull over if driving when visibility becomes impaired, turn off the lights, and take your foot off the brake. WTF? Pretty strange instructions. So glad I'm in for the evening. Anyone heard of this or lived through this type of storm?
It has been windy as fuck... imagine getting a dust blown in your eye today. Fucking natures uppercut

These motherfuckers! Doc office called to tell me that my insurance didn't approve the gel shots yet, so I shouldn't come in. I've had these appointments scheduled for weeks, and I fucked up my sleep schedule for nothing? I bitched at the nice lady on the phone, and told her to get their act together over there. Why make the fucking appointments without the approval? She said they've been trying to fix that system for years. So obviously my case isn't unique, and my bitching won't do any good. Lucky they called me before I got on the highway, I woulda made quite a scene if I fought traffic for an hour! I could have charged up my bike to go on a rip, but I didn't because of the appointment today. Oh, well. I'll get some plant stuff done, eat, and go back to sleep soon. C'est la vie.
don't know if its of any interest, but i found this.

Thanks, bro. That was a nice synopsis of the pros and cons of each type of shot. I've had a few cortisone shots. The first one was a miracle, I could even bend my knee fully again. It lasted almost a year, absolutely pain-free. The second shot was much less dramatic, that gave a few months of relief, but nothing like the first time. Third... meh. So I'm opting to try out the gel. If my insurance lets me, that is

Me: I wouldn't mind putting some boiled peanuts on this morning, maybe a few will be done by tonight.

Haggis: 20250517_075523.jpgThis is my new favorite bed, I will kill you if you touch these peanuts.

Me: *about face* I wouldn't mind marinating some ribs for later...

A delicacy that my close to a decade in the SE did not take for this Texan.
I can even appreciate grits when done well, but I have never had a boiled peanut that made me think I want another.
