So are Ravens. I keep one on the side of my house and feed it handsomely to keep my neighbors happy with meI don't mind the ice. It was fun to walk the dog on the lake.
Geese do suck ... I agree. Everyone keeps their bushes by the shore tall just to dissuade those birds from coming ashore. And the yammering 24/7 drives me nuts. Doesn't matter what time of day ... we have loud squawking coming from every direction.
They are just noisy and messy creatures ... no thanks.
Thank you, I need to make sure rain delay turns on, not usually something I have to worry aboutSo happy we are getting a little rain/snow in CA, feel like I am at one of those full service gas stations saying “just top it off Johnny”…
you drive a lot? I used to have a commute but these days I work from homeThank you, I need to make sure rain delay turns on, not usually something I have to worry about
I definitely don’t miss commuting. I’m a union carpenter from the bay area. A minimum of 1hr drive each way was the norm. Sucked! Did that for 20 years.you drive a lot? I used to have a commute but these days I work from home
I hear ya. I used to commute from Marysville, WA >>> 1-hr up a logging road from North Bend, WA. I will say the Bay Area traffic is a lot lighter since Covid…like 50% is my guess even in the SBAY.I definitely don’t miss commuting. I’m a union carpenter from the bay area. My commute these days is about 40’ to the shop from the house
Yeah when i say 1hr minimum it really was a 1hr minimum. Only job/s that i worked on that was less than 1hr was UCSC campus jobsites. From San Jose where I started out and from Salinas where i lived and commuted to and from for 9 yrs. When I bought a house in Salinas i was working in SF. That sucked.I hear ya. I’ll never forget the first time I drove hwy 17 and saw skid marks up like 6-feet on that center concrete divide. How does that even happen?Yeah when i say 1hr minimum it really was a 1hr minimum. My momma moved us over the hill to Almaden from Ben Lomand when I was 11 because of hwy 17. Her job moved to san Jose and she came close to crashing multiple times.I’ll never forget the first time I drove hwy 17 and saw skid marks up like 6-feet on that center concrete divide. Beautiful area.
Rain delay for my sprinklers I used to commute all through the LA basin. After I began software engineering I worked from home except for occasional forays into the office. That everyone disliked. I'm retired now.you drive a lot? I used to have a commute but these days I work from home
@ooof-da mentioned that commute traffic isn’t as bad in the bay area since covid.Rain delay for my sprinklers I used to commute all through the LA basin. After I began software engineering I worked from home except for occasional forays into the office. That everyone disliked. I'm retired now.
We’ve shifted to largely wfh with the occasional day at the office. This is why I’m totally okay with the switch. We’re number 3!!!@ooof-da mentioned that commute traffic isn’t as bad in the bay area since covid.
My ex wife left for the sticks during covid. She works for a software company that makes it easier to work from home lol. That company is killing it.
Zoom and all the other advancements are great and only going to do better. I'm happily retired. My son is still in the game doing AI research for Google. He has a ton more work on his plate since Covid and during Covid he worked from Maui. Now he works from his home on the beach and surfs during the day. It's a wonderful new world.@ooof-da mentioned that commute traffic isn’t as bad in the bay area since covid.

We went from 3 to 6 to we might get some rain tomorrowHappy Saturday. Looks like they're backing away from 8 to 15 inches of snow starting tomorrow. Less snow, like 2 to 6 followed by more than an inch of rain on Monday. We need it so bad.
