I see she's one of those weirdos with the long ass 2nd toe. Lol
Shows the plant plant porn...
I need better porn then. I pollinated a whole plant by putting them in a room together and letting the do the shimmy shimmy shake together. But for actual pollen harvesting, tapping a loaded branch into a paper cone yield very little. I want a pill bottle like dw

Wow. What is your collection process? That's a lot of pollen!
It's cut with a touch more than 1/8 tsp flour. I cut each flower that is just opening or fresh open onto the one piece of aluminum foil on the right. Then after those fully open on the foil I sift it through a tea strainer onto the other piece of aluminum foil on the left till I have a little mound. Then take the flour and put it on a paper plate in the microwave for 30 seconds to make sure it's super dry. Let that cool then mix in the pollen and put it in the container. When I'm ready to use it I dip in a makeup brush (don't tell my wife lol) and paint where I want seeds.

Take some cuts, put them in a vase on a mirror or sheet glass.
Let them open, then tap the vase, scrape with a razor.

Whoa! Each flower? I thought about that and said no, my life has finite hours lol. I have a number of seed projects in mind though, so I will have a do over. Thanks for sharing!

Just tell your wife she doesn't need makeup!

It's like 3 minutes in the morning and then 3 minutes before bed. Not much work at all. They don't all open at the same time.

This was on the 9th.

I cut 10 inch branches with lots of open flowers and stuck them into a narrow parchment funnel into a small sauce bottle. Very little made it into the bottle. I used (my wife's) watercolor brush to dip an apply pollen to a single female branch. I think I had success but not like the whole plant job.
