Has anyone ever seen one? It's kinda rare. I've been as close as 2'-3' away. A seriously beautiful animal to see.
I've been near a bunch of them in AK - trapped a bunch in Martin sets. Those little buggers are absolutely fearless & have tried to take Salmon from me that weighed 5X as much as they did!
If they weighed 200 lbs, no humans would be in their territory!

Just a tad cold out there this morningView attachment 5448595
Next 2 weeks is 30/15 Day/night temps, then 22/10 for a week, and back to 30/15 for the last week of January.
Just some scattered snow and showers for the most part, maybe a few inches of snow in a couple weeks.
Not a bad outlook, yesterday was 20-45 mph wind all day from the west...hardly ever get west winds.
We have a high of below zero coming up. Who's ready for the Polar Plunge! (jump in a frozen lake for charity)

Need more of that in January

Good morning, happy Friday.
Looking at the forecast it is very possible the fire won’t go out until March. I enjoy occasionally going out and playing in the snow and cold, but as I get older my fingers and toes just don’t warm up quick like they used too. Holding a hot cup of coffee in front of the fire is winter heaven.

Same! I don't enjoy any part of winter, just waiting for it to be over.
