I've flown over it a number of times and only transited by land a couple times, very fast, at night. But my mom's family was from there. So I didn't miss out on the OK experience. I'm CA born, raised and will die within 100 miles of my birth.
Hub did his flight engineer fam course at Altus. He rode his motorcycle there, straight through no breaks (ok he stopped for gas like a million times but he assures me it didn't count)
I love the size of the window sill, very nice.

Oklahoma loves weed. I remember that ! There were nice rolling hillsides and intense rain and wind . The lightning and dark sky’s were wicked!

I'm always amazed at how many folks who hold such parties or organize similar groups on...say "Fakebook" only remember the peace and love and psychedelic garb of the day. I went back and looked at old newspaper articles/magazines/etc from the era a few months ago and had myself...totally forgotten just how much shit got blown up/disrupted/changed via the "hippies" (daily) who were in the Weather Underground/Students For a Democratic Society/etc. Very turbulent times.
If they hate weed and there will be booze (there's always booze...and stupid from booze)....head out and find some bottles of Ripple, Strawberry Hill or MD2022/ etc. and unleash em on the party in the spirit of the 60's. A few hours in...they will wish they'd sat a hookah in the middle of the room. Heehee.
