I had a SIX HOUR gig today at a super swanky country club. They hire me for pretty much every holiday, I dig the venue and the people. It is inhumane to make a musician play for that long, my fucking back is KILLING me. I make it through, and it did pay a grand. Plus great food. I only got a few hours sleep the previous night, so I came home and took a 3 hour nap, it was just what I needed. A couple clients texted me for weed, so I decided to drive all the way back to the city to serve them. You just can't keep people waiting anymore, they'll instantly just call their next plug, or run to the corner dispensary. I miss the days when there wasn't so much competition.
