Why the angry reaction @Fangthane?
Growing up, there was a ginger chick living next door to me. She was a couple years older and just reveled in tormenting me. Thanks to her, even a few decades later, I still instinctively protect my nuts any time anyone makes a sudden move in their general direction because she got such a hoot out of socking me in the balls. Big-boobed, sadistic temptress ruined redheads for me.

Picked up some brownie mix today at the store. So if I make coconut oil, do I just sub that in place of the vegetable oil when making? Replace it all? What would yall call a good ratio of flower to oil?
I usually decarb as much as will fit into my vessel, and as much oil will exactly cover it. Then I have a small sample to test it. After testing I dose the baked goods, and will use cannaoil to butter/virgin oil based on how high I wanna be.

I usually use a 1:10 ratio of oil to flower ie 15 grams flower to 150 grams coconut oil. I then run a drop through my tcheck (tcheck.me) to check on mg potency. That determines how much oil I replace. Say I want 20 mg per brownie and there are 12 brownies in a recipe I need a total of 240 mg. If my oil is 15 mg/ml I need 16 ml of my extraction to equal 240 mg. I then remove that much from the oil and sub in that. If I want 200 mg brownie that means I need 160 ml of my extraction.

So since I don't have fancy equipment, I think I will use the 1:10 ratio and make some oil in the am. What would be a good amount to eat to test it? A couple mL? A teaspoon? Man, tomorrow is gonna be a fucking ride!!!
1 ml or half a ml. Use a cheap plastic dropper or cheap food scale. Getting a baked recipe wrong can have all day consequences. You will get better at testing the more batches you make.

Good lookin out. The wheels may have fallen off before I got started tomorrow had I taken a tsp to test it out. Haha. Gonna go ahead and break in the magical butter decarb box I bought 4 or 5 months ago for $12. 15ish grams of Cinderella Purple in the oven now getting decarbed.

Seeing as I'll be basically using the slow cooker as a double boiler, I'm pretty sure it can't get above 212 since the jar will be in water. It's early, but I think I'm right on that. So if the flower is already decarbed and the temp will be lower, does that just mean go longer?
Yes, if it's already decarbed you're fine with a lower temperature. Still at least 2 hours, online they say up to 6, but I never had to go that long in the oven with mine for it to be infused.
