Blackstar Chrome Series 360w FSF

Hi peeps,

i've always been an outdoor grower but have recently purchased a 1.2m x 1.2x x 2.0m homebox XL silver and am currently looking into LED lighting.

Does anyone have experience with these new Chrome series Blackstars ?

I was going to go with 2 x 500w blackstars but i'm also considering the chromes...

Any help/comments appreciated !!

i have blackstar 240s and 500s... and if i could wave a magic wand i would turn my 500s into 2x 240s in a second.
coverage area is most important with LEDs... and having 4 small ones instead of 2 big ones gets the entire tent evenly...
you would want either 4x 240s or 2x 500s for that size tent.

i dunno about the new chromes tho

yeah 1x 900w or 2 x 500w (prefer) was my first thoughts till i saw these chromes... hopefully someone has some experience with them, i want to make a decision soon... thanks for the reply IcculusX

i think they would be better than 1 900 or 2 500s... you have to get the light so close to the plants they dont cover an entire tent so having 4 spreads it evenly over the space better

Thanks man I've ordered 4 new 240w blackstars already. I have a 120w tri band led here too that I guess I may as well utilize ? That gives me 1080w all up. Plan to grow 4 plants only. Per grow. Should get started in 4-6 weeks when I've got these lights and chopped my current outdoor grow. How high above your plants are your blackstars ?

Mine has f'd up my plants from 5 inches so there's a good starting point I think it was better at about 8

Their website recommends something like 24" from the canopy. I start mine between 15"-18" from the tops of my plants. I adjust as needed.

Hello.
Im considering the 240w BS for flowering 2-3 plants, would you recommend it? right now im pondering between the htg 7-band 240w and the 240w BS. do you have any suggestions?

Gothamhydro recommended 10-12" from the canopy.
