blackstar 240 uv...problems?

anybody having probs with thier 2012 bs 240,s...........like the infra-red led emitting a gas that is discoloring theglass and the reflective backing.......im frikken pissed ..........................for the price of these things i coulda replaced my 15 yo mag ballasts with new frikken ones that actually work for 10 or 20 years....fuk blackstar all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a bs240 flower 2012 with no issues here yet. I would call victor @ blackstar and tell him whats going on. They have very good customer service and will help you.

If it's still under warranty I'm sure they will help you man. Did you even try calling them before you bashed them?

....no just mad...and yes they are less than a year old....i will be in contact with victor............arggggh

Hey richinweed sounds shitty about the panel..........the discoloring on the uv leds are in part due to the use of an acrilic lens (pmma) which degrades from heat/uv...also their might be a ground fault on your panel (thanks Rasser for finding this issue/ check his journals on how to fix) that may also be warping the reflective material and leds, does the panel stay slightly lit when you turn it off??? could be an issue...........be safe and happy growing
