this is a sad post but i just felt i had to write it,i live in oz as many no doubt know,and i live near or actually on the edge of it,and it is bushfire season,temps of 41celcius,high winds etc,and fuckwits who go round light fires,without realizing the end results.
i was joking the other day if my plants would be o.k as the helicopters that drop the water were flying over my house and i was getting hoses etc ready incase i could do anything as my area was on warning.
the temps are high and the plants in my garden are fine as they have grown from this climate,and i look after them ,but i also have some in the bush and after the fires near there were put out i went to look to see if it was near my plants.
the area was burnt to a crisp so all gone,just down the road a bit though 14 houses were lost and a women died as her car rolled as she was trying to leave the area,the ironic thing is her house was not damaged by the fire at all.
i can grow more plants and it will have little effect on me,but fuck i cannot believe that people are that fucked in the head to light fires on purpose in this place it is every summer,i have had choppers flying over my house all week they carry huge amounts of water under neath to drop on the fires.
a bummer tale but some folk i cannot fathom at all????.
