Sorry anyone who was along for the ride but this grow ended in complete disaster. I hold myself completely responsible and know what went wrong and why. I made some very bad choices and cut corners I shouldn't have when choosing a soil based on price.
Not ashamed to admit it but....I suck at soil, sure using good soil is easy street to most but I could end up still screwing it up by overwatering or adding nutes at the wrong time. Soil is just not my thing!
It's not all a big sob story however as I am in day 9 of what I do know and that is how to grow in a hydro/dwc system, don't ask me why I can handle the complexitys of a hydro/dwc but suck at soil...I don't have a clue, maybe I should try again using good grow medium to prove it to myself that I can....
But hey let's focus on what I learned and go from there:
-I know how to not over water now and when to water.
-I know just how important choosing the correct soil is!
-I know that LED's have a impact on growing colored genetics (see the purple bud below as testament and note that temps had nothing to do with it)
-I know not to ever be over confident just because I have had success in the past.
So here is the deal, I have a few Purple Widow buds, I am reveging 2 of the survivors to clone in the future and I am reveging one of the stunted purple widows directly in my system and the root system is taking off.
I will repost a new journal that is worth watching and is well documented and organized. Below is a few pic's of the purple bud that I was able to get to and the a shot of one of the girls that are reveging.
See you on the next run! I hope to do it up right this time!
