First is does your cricket phone use a sim card? It should be in the phone under the battery. If you dont then you have to use the i.m.e.i number. Either way the best way is to go to you r local cricket retailer. As long as the i.m.e.i is not reported stolen I think you should be ok. I used to work for Radio Shack so I think thats how it works..but like I said check with cricket. Good luck!

You will have to use the I.M.E.I. number, it should be under the battery and it will most likely be the longest number.. Some companys will activate other companys phones and some wont. Call cricket and tell them you want to do a swap and see how it goes. They may tell you its not possible, if not you can allways sell it on e bay.

Does Cricket carry Blackberry phones?

Even if you get it setup then they may not be able to allow email push, and that is what I use my Curve for. Emails, Blackberry IM conversations, company appointment calender.

Most people don't need the features, or will ever use them if they are not using one for a company account. I got mine through work but I would not use one if they had not given one to me.
