  • Black flea like bugs in soil

Hi can somebody please help me. I've found black little bugs the size of fleas in the soil and they fly. A friend told me it could be scarid fly and gave me some scarid fly drench. I put five litres of water into a bucket and 1ml of the drench and shared it around four plants. I did this three times. Do you feel this will kill them? The drench is really potent and I'm hoping I'm not going to kill my plants. I am in week four of flowering. Stressed!

Fungus gnats have moved into your soil...there are a few ways to control them...run a search and you will see the solutions to your infestation...good luck

Some kind of drench is what you need to kill the larvae.

You can use sticky traps to catch the adults but you won't defeat them by just targeting the adults

Thanks for replying. I've used the scaridfly drench as mentioned above hoping that was the right way to use it. I also sprinkled cinnamon and will hold off watering them for at least 24 hours so the soil dries up. Fingers crossed I am not going to kill my plants!
