Black and White Poly

What's the best way to apply black and white poly to a meal cabinet?
Do I use glue (if so what kind) or some kind of double sided tape? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

If I use staples you'd be able to see a bunch of staples all around the cabinet from the outside.
Anyone else who actually have applied black and white poly on metal?

i used super sticky painters tape. holds for years. just took some down i put up when i moved into my apartment and it lasted over 3 years.

Duct tape.

I use hot glue gun, but I'm doing black & white poly to a rubber maid tote. Not sure if that would work on metal, it might. Good luck!
