Bird's grow journal

So I've been growing on and off for years, but it's been years since I've grown. I found a bag seed and stuck it in a pot and it sprouted. Don't know the sex yet but it's good to have another grow going. I'm popping some lavender x Skywalker OG seeds that I got from mmj america as well. Photographed is the seedling after transplant.20190922_172120.jpg

Here goes after I topped it.20191011_103546.jpg

This is when training began

Note the bootleg lighting situation.

Here goes further training.

This continues on then I transplant.

Then I got some cheap LEDs off Amazon. $30 for 2 50w chips. In a bit I'll be using these for propagation or something as i just got a new 250w lighting setup.

I topped it again and made cuttings.

And that's where I'm at today.

Also I hit up a hydroponics store that was shutting down. I got 2.5 gallon micro, grow, bloom, a gallon of calmag, armor si, and finally some liters of ph up and down for like $200. Once my tent gets here I'll be setting up a DWC I made out of a 10 gallon tote.

Just got my tent and grow light in. It's all coming together now. Photographed are the mother (or father) from an unknown bagseed. The clones on the left are from the mother, and the rockwool cubes on the right contain lavender OG seeds I germinated using paper towels. 20191104_135820.jpg

Here's where I strung up a scrog net.

And here goes the plant after it had a chance to adjust a bit.

And here goes after I pinched the stems. That's either super cropping or monster cropping. Can't remember which one. Somebody clear that up for me please.

Here in a couple of days I expect to come into some autofems. Expert gorilla, sweet cream, and a northerlight. Probably need another light.

I got another tent and light in the post plus some heating pads. I also got some seeds yesterday. 13 autoflowers, props to the Seedsman. They've been taking care of me since I lived in Spain. I've got 4 expert gorillas autos germinating.

Here goes my germination setup. It's just an old 1 ounce container from mile high dispensary. 1574518281844730348836000926540.jpg
I'm using the paper towel method here.

Great grow brother. For one I love how you topped early in veg .. it’s great to start the stress early .

She's unmistakably female at this point. As I recall, the bag that produced this seeds was composed of frosty but tiny buds. I'm concerned this plant might not be as productive as I'd like. Anyway there's still like a month and a half for her to streach out and mature.

I'm patiently waiting for another tent to arrive via amazon so I can have a flower tent and a veg/auto flower tent going. Then I can push the kind of pot that I need to keep my household stocked.

I did recieve some potassium metabisulfate powder. I'll use that to remove chloramine from the water I'll be using hence forth. This product can also be found under the name campden tablets.

It's taken me quite a bit of research on this topic, but I believe a gram of potassium metabisulfate powder will declorinate 20 gallons of water. That should raise my ppm levels a bit in my reservoir and the tap water in lakewood is already about 120 ppm coming out of the faucet. Hopefully I can still get my nutes in without locking out something, or having salts precipitate out of solution.

Looking good ma boy .. I think you have nothing to worry about . As all the genetics out are hype... good but hype . Never met a bagseed I didn’t like even when the plant it came from was below par. I went to Mmj America when I went to Vegas . Overpriced yet good flowers .. can’t wait to see what you get

I'll tell you, they carry 6 packs of seeds for $10 at mmjamerica. As for the price there I was downtown Denver so everything was already overpriced. Lol.

Thanks for the encouragement otherwise. I can't wait to show my stuff once I've got the other tent going. That'll be my first hydro grow. I've got a game plan together.

Here goes some of today's photos. It's been getting really cold here in Colorado. Keeping the plants up to temp might be challenging. I'm even more concerned for when I start my hydro grow. I got some seedling mats, and I'm going to get some aquarium heaters here shortly.

After first week of flower. She's a her I believe, which is great because I started with an unknown bag seed.
Hey man, awesome journal! Love the LST & scrog. Looks like we have a similar setup (check out my journal) what made you switch the flower so early? I started my seedlings October 1st and still have them in veg. Switching to flower in a week or two, just looking for some advice! Thanks!
