haha this is great would suggest just buy like a 4/10 shotgun and scare the birds away when they come. the most humane way to kill an animal is with a gun any way or maybe .22 snake shot. blanks?
it is true or drowning but in this case u cant drowned living birds haha but i still say a 10 gauge 3 and half could take out atleast 20 birds in a 15 ft spread and then u would never have to worry about them...

SCARECROW man, take a hint from our ancestors, they weren't dumb. how you think they protected fields of corn from the birds? try it out, what's the worst that can happen? plus you wont kill the birds, and feeding birds like i did this season, only attracts more birds and other wildlife, and then they eat your tomatoes, and watermelons!! picked little holes in 5 of my watermelons! i use a scarecrow, just some old wood, clothes, and popped volleyball with some fans on the arms for movement!!

Maybe some non-lethal measures could be used in this situation. Why dont you try out one of those sonic pest repellent things?

Also my parents have a koi pond and I warned them of great blue herons and egerets preying upon their fish. They installed a high power sprinkler head with a motion sensor that would go off something would cross its path.

It's not the animals fault, they dont understand that you plan to get high off of what they consider easy pickings.

Also in light of security and discretion, I dont think you would want to be discharging firearms in a resiential area that could lead the police to your grow!
This is probably the smartest reply in this thread. You all have to think forward before you do something. Instead of real firearm why not just get a co2 powered pellet pistol and go to town. Trust me you can take out small animals with a 450 fps+ pistol.

I think I will go with the scarecrow then.

I think its the cheapest most effective way.

I most likely have all the things I need laying around here
somewhere.
